MLB DFS Pitcher Chart & Lineup Advice – 8/15/2017

The pitcher chart is located under my top plays!
Top Plays
Alex Wood
Wood is the lock of all locks on DraftKings on Tuesday. He costs just $9,600 and will face the White Sox team taking a huge park hit. Along with the park hit, the White Sox will lose their DH and will bat Miguel Gonzalez (hitless in 15 career at bats) instead. The White Sox have a 21.9% strikeout rate, and Wood owns a strikeout rate of 26.4% this season. Wood is the largest favorite on the slate (it’s not remotely close) and has the lowest OTT. I expected to see Wood priced above $11,000 on DraftKings but will gladly take the discount and plug him in all of my lineups.
Dinelson Lamet
Lamet will face the Phillies in Petco Park. The Phillies take a park hit and strike out at the sixth highest rate in the league. Lamet has pitched well recently, averaging 20.75 DK points per game over his last four starts. With the fifth worst wRC+, I have a hard time seeing the Phillies put up a ton of runs against him. I love Lamet for tournaments, and will consider him in cash games since I’m not thrilled with the high priced pitchers on the slate.
Jason Kipnis/Francisco Lindor/Cleveland
Cleveland will face Bartolo Colon and have a team run total of five. Both Kipnis and Lindor are underpriced on DraftKings. I’ve locked Kipnis into my cash game lineup for just $3,000 and am strongly considering Lindor at shortstop. I like a Cleveland stack in tournaments as I see them slightly discounted compared to other top offenses on the slate.
Miguel Cabrera/Justin Upton
Cabrera is a solid option at first base facing A.J. Griffin in Globe Life Park. He’s had some back tightness, but if he’s in the lineup, I’m strongly considering him for my cash game lineup. Griffin’s 2.7 HR/9 are enticing and the Tigers are tied for the highest team run total from a non-Coors game. I also like Upton in this matchup, although he’s priced up. He may be best suited for tournaments, but I’m at least thinking about using him in cash games.
Notes
Mike Trout is the top overall option on the slate, but he’s priced up higher than I’d like to pay for him against Gio Gonzalez.
I’m only considering two players from the Coors game at this point. If Tyler Flowers is batting 5th or higher, he’s a lock. Freddie Freeman is also in consideration, even without the platoon advantage.
