Point Guard
Nothing But Net | Jamal Murray $7,700 @ HOU
Murray, over his last four games, has been alternating great games with bad games. In those four games, he has had 52 or more Fanduel points in two, whereas in the other two he had 24.1 or fewer. Murray’s upside at $7,700 is what makes him my top play of the night. This game will be fairly high scoring and currently the Rockets are one point favorites, making this an excellent game to target. Murray gives you a relatively cheap option to get exposure to this game.
Dunk | Derrick White $5,800 @ DET
The Pistons are bottom five in the league in defending the PG position giving up 60.16 Fanduel points per game (FDPPG) — per Swish Analytics — and while White doesn’t give you the ceiling you are looking for in GPPs, he makes for a decent cash game option.
Half-Court Shot | Shabazz Napier $3,900 @ BOS
Napier has started to play a lot more minutes over the last four games averaging 26.5 minutes during that span. His price tag has come up some, and this isn’t the greatest matchup, but he is the best sub-4k PG on this slate unless we get news of any resting players.
Blocked Shot | De’Aaron Fox $8,100 vs. ORL
Fox has struggled over his last three games, all home games, and the Magic rank in the Top 4 in FDPPG allowed, giving up only 51.01 per game. At $8,100, there are better options.
Honorable Mentions: Mike Conley $8,100, D.J. Augustin $5,000
Shooting Guard
Nothing But Net | James Harden $12,900 vs DEN
He is nearly unfadable right now. When a player is as hot as Harden is right now, you almost have to eat the price tag, at least for cash games. His worst output over the last 12 games is 53.4 in a game where is had 45 real life points — he just did very little else.
Dunk | Luka Doncic $7,700 vs. LAL
The Lakers are dead last in defense vs. position (DvP) at the PG spot, giving Donic a dream matchup tonight. Doncic has a pretty high floor and 50 point upside at $7,700, and in a pace-up game against the Lakers, I would expect him to be closer to his ceiling than his floor.
Half-Court Shot | Austin Rivers $4,500 vs. DEN
Rivers has three straight games with 40 or more minutes, and while his production hasn’t matched the minutes, it is hard not to look at him at only $4,500. He does have a streak of six straight games with double-digit real-life points but doesn’t offer much in the way of peripherals, which limits his upside.
Blocked Shot | Jrue Holiday $8,700 vs. MEM
At $8,700, with Anthony Davis in the lineup, Holiday is priced at his ceiling right now, and in a bad matchup with the Grizzlies, I’m not willing to pay it.
Honorable Mentions: Buddy Hield $7,400, Bruce Brown $4,100
Small Forward
Nothing But Net | Brandon Ingram $6,900 @ DAL
There is no team in the NBA that gives up more FDPPG to SFs then do the Dallas Mavericks (46.27 per Swish Analytics). He scored 30.7 FDPPG against them in November, a game that LeBron James played in. James won’t play in this one, opening the door for Ingram to have a huge game.
Dunk | Gary Harris $6,200 @ HOU
Will Barton will be out for at least this game, if not more, leaving some extra minutes on the table for Harris to pick up, who is four games into his return from injury as well. After putting up 34.7 FDPPG a few nights ago vs. the Hornets, I think he is a full go for a great matchup against the Rockets who are bottom three in DvP at the SF position.
Half-Court Shot | Evan Turner $3,900 vs. NY
Turner entered the starting lineup in the Blazers last game because Moe Harkless (knee) missed the game. There is good chance Hark misses another game tonight and one can only assume that Turner will be the beneficiary again.
Blocked Shot | Giannis Antetokounmpo $12,100 vs. UTA
Okay, I can never totally fade the Greek Freak, but at $12,100 in a tough matchup with the Spurs, while also having James Harden on the slate, it will be very hard to convince me to play a ton of him. Tournament play only.
Honorable Mentions: Gordon Hayward $5,700

Power Forward
Nothing But Net | Anthony Davis $12,500 vs. MEM
Any time Davis is on the slate, you just auto plug him into the top spot at PF. No other PF has 80 point upside, a feat that he has reached in two of his last four games played. Even in a subpar matchup, if you can afford to fit Anthony Davis, you fit Anthony Davis.
Dunk | LaMarcus Aldridge $8,600 @ DET
After putting up two back to back 50-plus point games, he has put up two straight “meh” games. Tonight he gets a decent, but not great, matchup with the Pistons. He is $1,000 cheaper then Blake Griffin with similar upside. Give me the savings and I’ll take Aldridge.
Half-Court Shot | None
Just nothing I like on the cheap at PF which may make fitting AD in a little harder. Maybe some value will open up today.
Blocked Shot | Blake Griffin $9,600 vs SA
His price has gotten too steep for me, he needs to be sub-9k for me to play Griffin, but he is closer to 10k then he is 9k. No thanks.
Honorable Mentions: Derrick Favors $6,000, Paul Millsap $6,500
Center
Nothing But Net | Jusuf Nurkic $9,500 vs. NY
I know, I’m overlooking two of the best centers in DFS, the Nikola brothers (they aren’t brothers and no one calls them that), but you can’t ignore what Nurkic has done over his last few games with two 40-plus point games and an 88 point game. The Knicks are bottom five in DvP at the center position.
Dunk | Willie Cauley-Stein $7,500 vs ORL
The Magic are bottom six in DvP at the center position and this is the second game of a back to back after playing in L.A. last night. Tired legs could be a recipe for disaster against this young Kings team that loves to push the pace.
Half-Court Shot | None
Pay up at center. I don’t like any of the cheap options.
Blocked Shot | Clint Capela $9,000 vs DEN
The Nuggets are a tough matchup for Capela as the Nuggets are top 6 in DvP at the center position and $9,000 is hard to dish out on Capela.
Honorable Mentions: Nikola Jokic $10,400, Rudy Gobert $8,000
