DFS NBA FanDuel Starting 5 Lineup Advice 12/29

Sorry, there hasn’t been a lot of content coming out recently, my day job has been having me work the late shift over the last week-plus. It feels good to get back to what I love, talking some NBA DFS. I’m going to try and get my spreadsheet up at some point today as well. Today we have a huge slate to work with nine games on the docket. I’m writing this on Thursday night, so things may change by the time you read this, but feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @GeoffLambert77.

I’m also still waiting to get all the over/unders and spreads from Vegas, some have yet to be released. Speaking of which, this is a good time to mention that we are sponsored by Bovada.lv. Use the banner below to signup and bet of NBA games — legally.

Okay, let’s get to the real reason you came here…

Guards

Russell Westbrook $15,000 vs MIL

Harden or Westbrook, that will be the question of the day. I’m giving the very slight edge to Westbrook tonight based simply on the fact that they are not on a back-to-back and they are at home. The Rockets are in Washington after losing a tough game in Boston last night.

For what it’s worth, the Bucks give up 44.48 FanDuel points to point guards over the last four weeks, but honestly, they could give up 10 FD points per game and I’d still play Westbrook.

Jordan Clarkson $12,000 vs LAC

Lonzo Ball has already been ruled out for this game leaving Clarkson the likely beneficiary after starting the last two games and putting up 30.8 and 45.7 Fanduel points respectively. The Clippers are middle of the pack defending the point guard position, but Clarkson’s usage will allow him to put some good numbers again tonight.

Others to consider: James Harden $15,000, Devin Booker $13,000, Lou Williams $12,000, Darren Collison $11,500 (if Victor Oladipo is out)

Josh Richardson $11,500 vs BKN

Richardson has been a solid 35-plus FanDuel point scorer over the last two weeks with only one dud — a 21.8 point showing against the Pelicans. Over the last four weeks, the Nets have been one of the better teams defending the small forward, however, that stat is more a product of their competition than it is about their defense. On the season they rank as one of the worst, giving up 42.01 FanDuel points per game. Justise Winslow, James Johnson and Dion Waiters have already been ruled out for this game leaving Richardson as one of the main offensive threats in a pace up game for the Heat.

Jordan Bell $9,500 vs CHA

Bell moved back to the bench in the Warriors last game against the Jazz, but it didn’t affect his production at all. He scored 33.8 FanDuel points in 21 minutes. The matchup is not a great one for Bell, but his $9,500 salary should allow him to hit value and allow you to upgrade at other positions.

Others to consider: Anthony Davis $15,000, Brandon Ingram $12,500, Lance Stephenson $11,000 (if Victor Oladipo is out)

Centers

Willie Cauley-Stein $12,000 vs PHO

WCS has been on a tear with three straight games of 36 of or more FanDuel points. The Suns are actually decent “on paper” defending the center position, but this will be a pace up game for the Kings as the Suns are one of the fastest paced teams in the league. The faster pace will give WCS more opportunities to get rebounds and score, he could flirt with a double-double.

Others to consider: DeAndre Jordan $13,000, DeMarcus Cousins $15,000, Juluis Randle $10,500
