DFS NFL Draftkings Showdown Lineup Advice 8/16/18

It’s the Super Bowl rematch tonight, can you feel the excitement? Probably not, it is pre season Week two overall. But, that’s all the more reason to open that wallet and make tonights game something you can actually be invested in. Pun intended. If you haven’t guessed by now, this weeks Showdown Lineup Advice is for the Philadelphia Eagles V. the New England Patriots. Enough fluff, here are the plays to make tonight on Draftkings.

Nick Foles- 13-for-18 for 189 yards with two Touchdowns and zero picks. This is the stat line of one Colt McCoy last week for Washington against the Patriots. And keep in mind, the Patriots played most of their starters, including Hightower, Van Noy and Gilmore. With Wentz still sidelined and Foles slated to play tonight, he is the money play here. After all, the reigning Super Bowl MVP went 28-for-43 for 373 yards with three touchdowns and one interception against this defense just six months ago.

Ralph Webb- Webb was a pre season week one stand out for the Patriots. Webb carried the ball 14 times for 43 yards and two touchdowns. With Burkhead and Hill banged up, and Gillislee seemingly barely hanging on to a roster spot, it’s fair to assume a large workload for Webb tonight.

Corey Clement- The Patriots looked no better at covering running backs in the pass game last week than they did last season. For Patriots fans, I’m sure a very specific play comes to mind involving this issue and this player last February. Clement had two catches for just two yards last week, but that should change tonight. If he can carry the ball like he did last week (five rushes for 30 yards), and can catch the ball in space, he should have a big night.

Jacob Hollister- Hollister has caught the second most passes from Brady this camp. And what does Brady think of him? “Jake’s put a lot of hard work in. I mean, I’m really proud of him to come in undrafted, free agent and create a role for himself like he did last year and then have the ups and downs of a rookie year. He played some, he was not playing some and he’s kind of taken advantage of that role that he’s got and he’s willing to put the work in and that’s all you can ask for from a quarterback standpoint, from a guy who wants to get better and wants to improve. You can only do that one way, by getting out and doing it, earning the trust of your fellow teammates and your coaches and I think Jake’s done that.” (NESN.com). Hollister should play a good portion of tonights game, and he’s had a good summer.

Devin Lucien- Lucien was good last pre season and has continued that this year. Last week, he hauled in four receptions for 71 yards. He’s another guy that should see some big playing time tonight, and continues to take advantage of his opportunities.

PHI DST- Just playing the odds on this one. The Patriots have had an odd camp with pretty mixed results. Early last week, they looked outmatched. Until that changes, playing opposing defenses in the pre season is a good bet.
