FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Advice 12/18/15
What’s up guys, this is my first article here at goingfor2.com. Lucky for me, I get the honor of covering the 12-game slate tonight, which should be an action packed night for us DFS players. Twelve games mean a lot of options to score FanDuel points, and as always picking the right value players will be essential to scoring the most points and taking down your leagues or matchups. There are also a handful of stars out there who have good matchups tonight and will be key in bolstering lineups. I’ll be offering two options at each position that I think will score well on FanDuel tonight, one higher priced guy and a value guy who I think will outperform their price tag. Here is my FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Advice for December 18.
Point Guard
Rajon Rondo, @ T-Wolves ($8,600)- Steph Curry has a fantastic matchup against a Bucks squad that he’ll be looking to get revenge against, but Rondo has a nice matchup tonight as well and is priced a couple thousand bucks cheaper. The Wolves are giving up the second most FanDuel points to opposing point guards in their past ten games, setting Rondo up for success tonight. In his only game against them so far this season, Rondo burned the Wolves by scoring 16 points while dishing 16 assists on his way to 44.8 FanDuel points. He has similar upside tonight in this matchup.
Raymond Felton, vs. Grizzlies ($4,900)- When picking value players at each position, the main thing I look at is how many minutes they’ve been receiving. The more a player is on the court, the more opportunities they have to put up stats. On the season, Felton is averaging 28 MPG and that has increased to 34 MPG over his past five games. He’s played well in that span as well, averaging 29.5 FanDuel points over those five games. He’s been a surprise just about all year long and should continue to put up good production tonight in this game. Over their past ten games, the Grizzlies give up the 6th most FanDuel points to opposing point guards.
Shooting Guard
Eric Bledsoe, vs. Pelicans ($8,800)- Bledsoe is one of my favorite players to use in DFS because of how consistent he is. Even though he put up a stinker of a game his last time out, before that he had scored 35+ FanDuel points in eight straight games. In two games against the Pelicans weak defense (worst defensive rating in the NBA) so far this year, he’s averaging 23.5 PPG and 6.5 APG with some other stats as well. The Pelicans allow the point guard spot to score 25 PPG so far this year, setting Bledsoe up for a great night tonight.
Arron Afflalo, @ Sixers ($4,800)- The Sixers are one of my favorite defenses to attack in DFS because of how poor of a team they are in just about every aspect. In his last game against Philly, Afflalo put up only 13 points but hauled down 8 boards on his way to a decent 23.6 FanDuel points in only 23 minutes of court time. His playing time has slowly risen so far this year, as he’s averaging 32 MPG over his past five games. He’s coming off one of his best performances of the year (33.1 FD points) and has a solid ceiling and floor to offer to owners tonight at a cheap price.
Small Forward
Kawhi Leonard, vs. Clippers ($8,900)- Kawhi is my top SF for tonight because of his high ceiling and steady floor. He’s one of the best young players in the NBA, and is $700 cheaper than another top SF option in Paul George. Kawhi has scored 40+ FD points in 3 of his past 4 games, and he scored a solid 37.4 in the other game. He’s a very consistent player who offers a great upside in this marquee matchup. He should pace the Spurs in the scoring tonight in what I expect to be a very close game.
Jeff Green, @ Mavericks ($4,500)- Green is another guy who is priced under $5,000 despite the fact he has been seeing big minutes lately. Over his past five games he’s averaging 34 MPG, compared to 28 MPG on the season. The Grizzles have been tinkering with their lineup after a very mediocre start, and that’s been paying dividends for Green. In his only game against the Mavs this year, Green played 35 minutes on his way to 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Expect another solid line from Green tonight in this one.
Power Forward
Anthony Davis, vs. Suns ($10,500)- Davis is the top option for me tonight. In his two games against the Suns so far this year, he’s averaging 29 points and 18 boards with 3 blocks and two steals. He’s by far one of the best young players in the NBA, and the Suns have had a very hard time stopping the big man so far this year. He’s very spendy, but he should be worth every dollar and be able to score 50+ FanDuel points for his owners tonight.

Jon Leuer, vs. Pelicans ($4,600)- Over his past five games, Leuer’s MPG have risen from 20 on the year to 26 in that span. As long as Markieff Morris stays in the doghouse and Leuer draws the starts at PF, he will be a fantastic play for DFS players. He has scored 23+ FanDuel points in 6 of his past 7 games and tonight he draws a solid matchup against the Pelicans. In two games against New Orleans so far this year, he’s only played 16 MPG yet has managed to averaged 11.5 points with 8 boards. He should see more minutes than that tonight and put together a very solid stat line for his owners.
Center
Nikola Vucevic, vs. Blazers ($7,300)- After going through a stretch where he was benched a couple times and his minutes were fluctuating, Vuc is starting to see steady minutes at about 30 per night recently. Over his past five games, he’s averaging a solid 17 points with 8 boards per game. He has a very solid matchup tonight against Portland, who happens to allow the most FanDuel points per game to opposing centers. He isn’t one of the top priced options, but I expect Vuc to produce like one tonight in his favorable matchup.
Festus Ezeli, vs. Bucks ($4,600)- Festus has stepped up his game recently, averaging 11 points 7 boards and a block over his past five games in 20 MPG. He played well against the Bucks the other day, putting up 13 points, 8 boards and two steals in 20 minutes. If you want to save money at center, I’d advise using Festus as a solid glue-guy who should get you about 20-25 points at a very cheap price. The Bucks have been one of the worst defensive teams all year long, and I think the Warriors will play very well against the team that just snapped their winning streak.
