Fantasy Football: Inside The Trenches IDP week 3 Preview

Week 3 is upon us and it is time to go inside the trenches for the upcoming slate. Last week, we saw Kiko Alonso go down with an injury. He has already been ruled out of week 3 action with a partially torn ACL. Also, LB DeAndre Levy is still battling a hip injury, that should keep him out for week 3. The Lions have already said they believe the injury to be short term, so that’s encouraging. He won’t be suiting up as the Lions play the Vikings in week 3
Haloti Nagata has also shown up on the Lions injury report, but, the Lions also received some good news this week, as Nagata will be ready to go for week 3. The Dolphins and fantasy football GMs alike, got a scare , when Cameron Wake went down with an injury. The good news is that Cameron Wake was a full participant in practice, it looks like he will be good to go this Sunday.
Fantasy Football: Week 3 IDP Preview
The Eagles will be looking to rookie 3rd round pick Preston Brown, to fill the void in their defense, now that Kiko Alonso is out for week 3. He is a versatile LB who can go out and cover the pass or stay home and play the run.
The concept of this defense is to push the plays to their weak side LB (Kiko Alonso). If Preston Brown steps in for Kiko I can guarantee you that he gets quite a few opportunities to make plays. He could make for a good play if you are desperate for LB help.
Cameron Wake–LB
A lot of GMs are hesitant to plug him into
Lineups if he plays. He has gotten off to a terrible start this season. He has yet to log a tackle or a sack. Now that he is banged up he becomes even less enticing to his owners.
Let’s face it though, you can’t leave a talent like Cameron on the bench. If he plays, the general consensus is that you should play him.
However, I understand if you don’t wanna play him this week. This week the Dolphins play a tough division rival in the Bills.
There is a chance that Wake can pile up the tackle numbers against the Bills. They are a team who loves to run the ball. If you really don’t want to start Cameron Wake, I added a LB stream option to this article so you can have other choices.
A.J. Klein-LB
I introduced him to the IDP world last week, if you did play him, he gave you a good performance, with 4 tackles, 1 defended pass and he topped the week off with an interception.

Luke Kuechly is still practicing without a helmet, so Klein will get another chance to play for this defense. This week, they play the saints, whose offense has been the definition of struggling. Drew Brees is out this Sunday, according to coach Payton. With Brees out of Sunday’s action, Klein becomes a very enticing option.
Other Options on the wire
He was another one of my plays from last week. If you took my advice and played him, you watched him pile up 8 tackles, in a solid effort. It isn’t hard to see why he had a good game. Other teams will try to avoid Darelle Revis and Antonio Cromarte, when they can, when you’re the guy covering the other areas of the field, they usually throw your way a whole bunch. Both Cro and Revis are dinged up, even if they both are able to play, Skrine can still present some value. If one or both of them are out he is a must start.
Anderson had a solid outing in week 3, with 5 tackles and 1 sack. The good news here is, Nagata is going to play. This helps Anderson, because, the defense will be worried about Nagata. This should allow some room for Anderson to Pressure the QB.
Week 3 Sleeper
He is my sleeper for week 3, the Eagles have a terrible offensive line. I’m expecting the jets to be putting the pressure on Bradford. With all the big names on this defense, it’s going to be easy for Leonard Williams to slip through the cracks of this Eagles offensive line. This could be a multi sack game for Leonard Williams.
