Fantasy Football: Week 13 Cut’em or Keep’em

Alright, GF2 fans, it’s time once again for my latest installment of my Cut’em or Keep’em players for the week! Week 13 is when most of your fantasy playoffs will begin, so it’s time to get those final tweaks with your roster. From players such as Matt Ryan to Alfred Blue, there are guys out there who you’re just not sure what to do with. I’m here to help you make the tough decisions, so let’s get started.

Here’s my Cut’em or Keep’em players for Week 13:

Latavius Murray, Raiders RB

Murray is owned in 96.8 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. I know some of you Murray owners are becoming a bit irritated with him this season, but don’t give up hope just yet. In 2015, he has rushed 179 times for 765 yards and four scores. Murray has also caught 27 passes for 156 yards as well this season. The biggest negative that comes along with owning Murray is the fact that he hasn’t rushed for more than 100 yards in a game since Week 8. Looking ahead at his schedule, though, I see that he’s playing a very bad Chargers defense during most of your fantasy championship games, so hold on to him!

Verdict: Keep’em

Matt Ryan, Falcons QB

Ryan is owned in 91.6 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Coming into the 2015 fantasy season, I was fully aboard the Ryan hype train but watched it quickly derail. So far this season, he has thrown for 3,212 yards, 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. With an aging Roddy White and an injury prone Leonard Hankerson, Ryan just doesn’t have enough solid players to throw the ball to. It also doesn’t help that the Falcons will be playing the Panthers two times during the fantasy playoffs. Rid yourself of a headache because Ryan won’t be getting any better in 2015.

Verdict: Cut’em

Jeremy Langford, Bears RB

Langford is owned in 84.8 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. I don’t typically cover backup running backs in my articles, but Langford is an exception. In his rookie season, he has rushed 90 times for 298 yards and six touchdowns. Langford has also caught 16 balls (27 targets) for 232 yards and a score. With starting running back Matt Forte already getting injured once this year, it’s going to be a good idea to handcuff him with Langford. The best part about the whole situation is that Langford is still getting touches and even scored a touchdown with Forte on the field for Chicago.

Verdict: Keep’em

Antonio Andrews, Titans RB

Andrews is owned in 67.5 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. I thought maybe someone from this Tennessee team would take the reigns at running back and become fantasy relevant. Well, no one seems to want the job for the Titans, so it’s time to cut ties with them all. This year, Andrews has rushed the ball 110 times for 408 yards and two touchdowns. Upcoming games with the Jets and Patriots during your fantasy playoff run doesn’t help his cause here either. I know the running back position is somewhat thin right now, but Andrews isn’t a necessity for your squad.

Verdict: Cut’em

Alfred Blue, Texans RB

Blue is owned in 66.2 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. I never thought that I’d jump on the Blue bandwagon, but the guy has won me over the last few weeks. In 2015, he has rushed the ball 123 times for 430 yards and two scores. Blue has also caught 13 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. If you were smart and held onto Blue after Foster went down for the season then you may just have a nice plug and play guy for the playoffs. During your fantasy playoff run, Blue will face off against the Colts and Titans, so prepare to put him into your lineups!

Verdict: Keep’em
