Fantasy Football: Week 15 Cut’em or Keep’em

The season is nearing an end, GF2 Fans, and I’m here to give you another round of my Cut’em or Keep’em players! It’s Week 15 and officially crunch time for some of your fantasy championship hopes. Like always, I’m here to help you guys make all the tough decisions for your rosters for the fantasy playoffs! From DeMarco Murray to Travis Kelce, there are players who you all need to take a closer look at.

So, here’s my Week 15 Cut’em or Keep’em players:

DeMarco Murray, Eagles RB

Murray is owned in 98.6 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Once Murray left Dallas I knew he was going to have a tough run at it without his favorite offensive line. So far this year, he has rushed 174 times for 847 yards and four touchdowns. These numbers are far from his 2014 stats, making it a lost season for the first-year Eagle. Not only is Murray’s fantasy championship schedule a bad one, facing the Cardinals for Week 15, the Eagles just don’t seem to want him around anymore. Both Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles are getting more snaps and are better fits for this Chip Kelly offense. Philly needs to just cut Murray this off-season so that he can come back home to Dallas, I suggest you do the same this season, fantasy owners.

Verdict: Cut’em

Brandin Cooks, Saints WR

Cooks is owned in 95.8 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Cooks has been toying with our hearts all season long. In 2015, he has caught 64 passes for 869 yards and seven scores. Cooks hasn’t been the most consistent fantasy player, but he draws a solid fantasy championship schedule. During your championship run, he will face off against the Lions and Jaguars, both have beatable secondaries. Without Mark Ingram for the rest of the season, the Saints will look to throw the ball more and Cooks will be the main beneficiary of this outcome.

Verdict: Keep’em

Travis Benjamin, Browns WR

Benjamin is owned in 79.6 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Benjamin has had a breakout season so far, but he’s just so dang inconsistent. This year, he has caught 58 receptions for 543 yards and five touchdowns. It’s been exciting this year watching Johnny Manziel and Benjamin hooking up on long bombs down the field, but their time is up for the fantasy world. Over the next two weeks, Cleveland will have to travel to both Seattle and Kansas City, which spells doom for all Browns players. As good as Benjamin has been this season for you guys it’s time to cut him loose.

Verdict: Cut’em

Travis Kelce, Chiefs TE

Kelce is owned in 97.2 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. For the most part of this season, Kelce has been a rather disappointing player. So far this year, he has caught 59 balls for 749 yards and four scores. Most of you probably drafted Kelce rather early, expecting a huge year for the young tight end, but have been let down most weeks. Well, I’m here to tell you all to keep your hands on him, because there aren’t many better options out there at the tight end position. With Guys such as Jimmy Graham and Martellus Bennett out for the season, a solid tight end is hard to come by. Plus, Kansas City will face off with the Ravens and Browns over the next two weeks, so that’s a good thing for you guys.

Verdict: Keep’em

Vincent Jackson, Buccaneers WR

Jackson is owned in 71.6 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Jackson has been dealing with a lingering knee injury all season long and it flared up again during his Week 14 game versus New Orleans. It’s been such a disastrous 2015 for him, catching just 33 passes for 543 yards and three touchdowns. There are better options for Jameis Winston anyways with Mike Evans and Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, making Jackson’s fantasy value irrelevant. It’s time to finally give up on the crafty veteran and find someone who can help you win now.

Verdict: Cut’em
