Fantasy Football: Week 16 Cut’em or Keep’em
It’s time once again, GF2 fans, for my weekly fantasy football Cut’em or Keep’em players! The season is just a few weeks from being over and most of you who are still playing are going after a fantasy championship. I’m here to give you all some advice on what players are deserving of a roster spot on your squad going into your championship game. From Danny Amendola to Allen Hurns, there are players who have walked a thin line recently.
So, here’s my Cut’em or Keep’em players for Week 16:
Danny Amendola, Patriots WR
Amendola is owned in 86.7 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Once Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman both went down with injuries, Amendola was the most prized waiver wire add. Unfortunately for him, Gronk is back and Edelman is on the verge of making his return, forcing Amendola back down the Patriots food chain. On top of the returning superstars, he also suffered a knee injury during New England’s Week 15 game versus the Titans. So far this year, Amendola has caught 63 passes for 631 yards and three touchdowns. Now’s the time to own guys who are going to win you one last game, so look elsewhere for a more consistent wide receiver.
Verdict: Cut’em
T.Y. Hilton, Colts WR
Hilton is owned in 97.3 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. It has been an up and down season for Hilton, but now is not the time to give up on him. In 2015, he has caught 61 balls for 1,016 yards and five scores. At 6-8, the Colts are still in the playoff race, meaning Hilton will be used exclusively during Week 16, which makes me want to own him. Indianapolis plays the Dolphins in Week 16, which is a great matchup for Hilton. You’ve stuck with him for this long, so you all might as well hold on to him for one last game.
Verdict: Keep’em
C.J. Anderson, Broncos RB
Anderson is owned in 86.8 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. One of the most difficult decisions of this long injury, heavy fantasy football season was who we should all start for our running back from the Broncos. More than likely chose Anderson as your number one running back, he has had a massively underwhelming 2015 campaign. This year, he has rushed the ball 128 times for 552 yards and three touchdowns. After a four carry, 14-yard performance during Week 15, I don’t feel confident in Anderson going up against a stout Bengals defense during your fantasy championship game.
Verdict: Cut’em
Allen Hurns, Jaguars WR

Hurns is owned in 83.3 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. The Jaguars have been a very pleasant surprise for fantasy owners this season! Hurns burst onto the fantasy scene in 2015, catching 53 passes for 907 yards and eight touchdowns. It’s been somewhat of a down few weeks for Hurns, but for your Week 16 championship game he’ll be facing off against the dreadful Saints defense. Like Hilton, Hurns is a guy who I would want in my lineup for your championship game, so hold onto the rising stud wideout.
Verdict: Keep’em
Davante Adams, Packers WR
Adams is owned in 60.3 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. When Packers star wide receiver Jordy Nelson went down with a knee injury during the preseason, I truly believed Adams would be the next guy to step up in Green Bay. Well, I was completely wrong on this prediction and should have never drafted him for any of my leagues. So far this year, he has caught 43 balls for 387 yards and one score. Not only are guys such as James Jones getting more looks, the Packers will face off against the Cardinals tough secondary during Week 16.
Verdict: Cut’em
