Fantasy Football: Week 7 Buy Low, Sell High

It’s time once again GF2 readers for my latest Buy Low, Sell high players for the week. Week 6 is officially over, ending another great week in the fantasy football world. There were some insane fantasy scoring that happened this week from some crafty old veteran quarterbacks in Matthew Stafford and Philip Rivers. We also witnessed another monster game from both DeAndre Hopkins and Devonta Freeman.

So, here we go folks, my Week 7 Buy Low, Sell High players:

BUY LOW

Antonio Brown, WR Pittsburgh Steelers

I’m sure in most of your fantasy football league’s there is an Antonio Brown owner who is panicking as we speak, take advantage of this opportunity while you still can. So far this season, he has caught 40 passes for 547 yards and two scores. The biggest problem that Brown has faced this season is the loss of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the last three weeks. Over those weeks missed by Big Ben, he hasn’t caught more than five passes and 45 yards in any of those games. Here’s the deal, though. Roethlisberger is very close to being back, which spells good news for Brown and his fantasy owners. So, at this point offer whatever you have to in order to get Brown before he starts taking the fantasy world by storm once again!

Randall Cobb, WR Green Bay Packers

Going into the 2015 fantasy season, I saw Cobb as potentially one of the best options at wide receiver. During the preseason, the Packers lost Jordy Nelson to an ACL tear and things were left up to Cobb to take the offense on his back. In 2015, he has caught 30 balls for 350 yards and four touchdowns. These aren’t horrible stats by any means, but touchdown vulture James Jones seems to be getting all of the love from Aaron Rodgers. So far this season, Cobb has been way too touchdown dependent, but I truly believe things will change for him. I say throw an offer at your fellow Cobb owner and see if they bite, what’s the worst that can happen?

Travis Kelce, TE Kansas City Chiefs

Kelce had a solid 2014 fantasy season, so expectations were high for him this year. This season, he has caught 29 passes for 416 yards and two scores. Like Cobb, these aren’t bad numbers but aren’t exactly what fantasy owners were hoping for in your drafts this year. With the loss of star running back Jamaal Charles, Alex Smith is going to have to look elsewhere to move the ball down the field. Kelce has a very favorable fantasy playoff schedule, playing Oakland, San Diego, Baltimore and Cleveland in Week’s 13-16. It’s worth a shot buying low on Kelce, maybe he’ll help guide you to an illustrious fantasy title!

SELL HIGH

Martavis Bryant, WR Pittsburgh Steelers

Like I said above, buy low on Antonio Brown, he’s going to be so good when Big Ben comes back. So, what do we do with Bryant? Well, he had a monster game in his first week back, catching 6 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns. He already in one game has as many scores as Brown has for the season. This means it’s a prime time to sell him high before he has those few games where he doesn’t score a touchdown. I personally would pray for one more huge game this week from him, then try and swap him to that nervous Randall Cobb owner.

Lamar Miller, RB Miami Dolphins

I can go on the record saying that I was Miller’s biggest fantasy supporter coming into the 2015 NFL season. When I looked into my preseason crystal ball, I saw not only him having a big year, but also Ryan Tannehill and Jarvis Landry, my was I wrong. He has once again, let us all down, though, rushing 56 times for 244 yards and one touchdown, which didn’t come until Week 6. Miller finally broke out of his awful slump along with the rest of the Dolphins team in Week 6, so is it time to sell him while you can? I’d without a doubt try to package him in a deal for the headliner of this article, Mr. Antonio Brown!

Travis Benjamin, WR Cleveland Browns

It’s so weird that the Browns have been such a fun team to watch for fantasy purposes this season. Who would’ve thought that guys like Benjamin, Josh McCown and Gary Barnidge would be such beneficial fantasy producers? This year, Benjamin has caught 31 passes for 518 yards and four touchdowns. Like the rest of the Browns squad, he is completely overachieving and I’m just waiting for the ride to end. Along with all of the other Cleveland players, I would look to move them while you can before it’s way too late.
