Fantasy Football:Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds

Running Backs
Theo Riddick-Lions
Bell didn’t play again this week and Abdullah didn’t look impressive either. That left Riddick to tote the rock this week. Abdullah has been unable to protect the ball, as he fumbled the ball yet again this week.
He is still only a viable add in PPR leagues. As we saw him carry the ball just 7 times this week. It was encouraging to see Riddick get some action on the ground, although, he will still be dependent on action in the passing game to be a viable start.
Christine Michael-Cowboys
This is a good add for a team desperate for RB help. We have no guarantee what kind of body of work he will see, but it looks like he will get the chance. The rumors out of the Cowboys bye week indicate that they are ready to see if Michael has what it takes to make an impact.
This by no means indicates that all a sudden one back is going to rule over this backfield. What it does indicate though, is that he should get enough chances to stay relevant as far as fantasy football is concerned. At this point, he will still have to contend with Randle and McFadden.
Darren McFadden-Cowboys
Dallas had their bye week this week, so there isn’t much new news about Run/Dmc, other than the fact that He seems to have made it through the week without injury. He should be taking over the Dallas receiving back duties moving forward, evident by his 9 catches back in week 6.
Chris Thompson-Redskins
Once again, this is a guy that you should only be considering in deeper PPR leagues. He has a secure role on a weekly basis and can produce for you in a pinch. With the absence of Matt Jones this week, he got some chances to tote the rock on the ground as well.
He wasn’t impressive, as far as his work on the ground went and is best suited as the change of pace receiving back. Moving forward, ground work will go to Morris and Jones, but, I fully expect Thompson to dominate the passing game touches.

Knile Davis-Chiefs
Watching West dominate the snap count almost made me take him off this list. However, West wasn’t effective today and lost a fumble. There is always a chance they can try to get a few more looks at Davis next week, since West made very little impact this week. This one looks like some sort of committee type split.
James Starks-Packers
I believe Lacy got banged up this week and that’s the reason Starks saw more touches than Eddie Lacy. McCarthy said he wanted to get Starks more involved, but, I can guarantee you that they aren’t attempting to fade Eddie Lacy out of the game plan. It was mentioned during the game that Lacy was battling his ankle injury and it sure looks like something is holding him back.
With that said, Lacy looks like he needs to be on a diet. He has been getting nicked up, if you own Lacy you have to own Starks at this point. I still believe Starks is more of a handcuff than a producer on a consistent basis.
The Packers get a bye week this week, in a week Lacy will still be fat, but, perhaps he will get a chance for his ankle to heal. Until I see Eddie Lacy looking fat and ineffective in another game, I can’t endorse Starks as more than a handcuff.
Robert Turbin-Browns
It’s a crowded backfield and he didn’t do a lot this week, but, this backfield is wide open. If you can afford to stash a RB for a few weeks, he could end up being a good add for you.
Wide Receivers
Stefon Diggs-Vikings
He came on this week, posting 7/129/0. You definitely can’t ignore what this kid did and chalk it up to Charles Johnson being hurt. Charles Johnson has been useless this year.
Being that Diggs had a big week this week, even if Johnson returns, you have to believe he will get another chance to make noise next week.
If he puts back to back big weeks together, it will be hard to keep him off the field going forward. He should be owned in all formats.
Marvin Jones-Bengals
Jones put up some big numbers this week. With teams rolling coverage toward A.J Green and Tyler Eifert, he is going to see lots of opportunities, in a very strong passing attack.
If you suffered some injuries or are just dealing with the pains of bye weeks, he is a solid depth pickup at this point.
Rueben Randle-Giants
This is his last week on this list. He is owned in 50% of yahoo leagues and that should climb by next week. He has gotten off to a pretty solid start this year and should really be owned in more than 50% of leagues at this point.
Malcom Floyd-Chargers
He was targeted 12 times this week, but, if you dig deeper, you will learn Rivers threw the ball over 60 times this week. That kind of volume won’t be repeated, but, he still brings WR4 value to the table and makes a solid depth pickup.
Michael Floyd-Cardinals
He showed up to play this week, catching 5 of his 8 targets. While his production will more than likely remain sporadic, his targets have been up consecutive weeks. If he is available, and you need some depth at WR, he can help you.
Tight Ends
Ben Watson-Saints
He posted an insane 10/127/1, in week 6 against the Falcons. I’m not gonna sit here and say he is going to be the new Jimmy Graham, but, he did manage to do certain things in the passing game, that went missing when Jimmy Graham left town.
He is the best equipped TE to do what Graham used to do for this offense. Moving forward I consider him a poor man’s Jimmy Graham.
QuarterBacks
Blake Bortles-Jaguars
The Wire is pretty bare as far as QBs are concerned. Bortles is by far the front-runner on the wire, he gets a lot of chances to put up numbers in this offense.
He isn’t the safest QB when it comes to turnovers. He will be out there throwing a lot though, for a team desperate for QB production, that can be the difference maker.
If you need QB help he is the best option out there for you.
