Free DFS NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice for 3/3/16: Values
What’s up, everyone! After yesterday’s huge slate, today we get a much smaller, less appealing four games. For obvious reasons, I won’t give you my full-blown article. Finding four guys at every position will prove difficult due to the small slate size. So instead, I’m just going to give you my value plays for today. Before we jump into the slate, I just wanted to mention a few things.
- We are on Instagram finally. I’ve wanted to get on Instagram for some time now, but I just couldn’t figure out the best way to leverage it so that it would be useful. Well, I figured it out. I’ll be posting one or two lineups a day on Instagram. You can choose to use them or not. I’ll make sure to point out if they are “cash” or “gpp” lineups. You can follow us on Instagram at DFS_GoingFor2.
- I have also added an Instagram feed to the site. You can find it on the right-hand sidebar. If you are on mobile, the sidebar gets moved to the bottom under all the content. The only downfall to the feed is there is no way to show the text under the photo, so you won’t know if its cash or GPP.
Okay, let’s do this…
Point Guard
Patty Mills (SA) @ NO $4,000
Mills hasn’t been great lately, but some of that can be attributed to the Spurs not blowing teams out lately. At least not at the same clip that they were before the All-Star break. The Pelicans, to my chagrin, represent a good blowout opportunity, which could mean more minutes for Mills. There is also the chance that in this second game of a back to back the Spurs rest some players, meaning more court time for the Spurs guard.
Ronnie Price (PHO) @ MIA $3,800
There is one thing in the NBA that is guaranteed to never happen in any game — ever. But it is something that can and does happen in every other major sport. A shutout. In every major sport besides NBA basketball, there is the possibility that one team will not score. Why do I mention this? Because despite the bad matchup for the Suns players, someone has to score. So at $3,800 for Price, why not him.
Shooting Guard
Danny Green (SA) @ NO $4,400
Green has been hot and cold of late, but that’s better than earlier in the season when was just cold. At $4,400 and a matchup with bullfighter Eric Gordon (you know, because all he does is get out-of-the-way when playing defense), Green should easily be able to get hot again. This game will be played at a higher pace than the Spurs would probably like to play, but that will equal more shot opportunitiesย for Green.
Wesley Matthews (DAL) vs SAC $4,500
Looks my “diamond in the rough” over the past week or so has finally been discovered. He was flying under the radar, despite my extensiveย promotion of him, until his 34 fantasy point outburst the other night. His price jumped a little, and he will probably be a little higher owned than he used to be, but, in what I expect to be a very fast paced game, Matthews should hit value again tonight.
Joe Johnson (MIA) vs PHO $5,600

I almost left him off my values list. Why? Because on a four-game slate, I don’t think $5,600 is necessarily a true value. Sure he is below the $6,000 mark, but there are only two players above it! Ultimately I decided to put here based strictly on principle. If he goes off, someone is going to point out that I overlooked him in my value column. So tonight he gets the “Value but not really” tag.
Small Forward
Andre Iguodala (GS) vs OKC $4,100
It is my belief that Iggy and Curry were both held out of the Atlanta game the other night because of this game. Curry needed the extra rest to get his ankle 100% and Iggy needed to rest because he will be chasing Kevin Durant all over the court Thursday night. He isn’t going to put up huge numbers, but he should be able to hit value while allowing you to pay up at other positions. He will get 30-plus minutes and I’m expecting a 22-28 fantasy point night from him.
Omri Casspi (SAC) @ DAL $4,700
This will obviously depend on the status of Rudy Gay, but if Gay misses this game Casspi should get the start. This will probablyย be the second highest over-under for the night behind the OKC/GS game, so Casspi will be given ample opportunity to put up some good fantasy numbers.
Power Forward
Mirza Teletovic (PHO) @ MIA $4,700
Teletubby, as my podcast co-host Gerson calls him, played only 20 minutes in the last game and still nearly hit five times value. Don’t let the lack of minutes steer you away, the Suns were down by 100 by halftime. Okay, maybe not 100, but it was ugly. This game could end up a blowout as well, but I don’t believe it will happen so quickly. The Heat aren’t a high paced team and may not pull away until the middle of the third quarter, giving Teletubby plenty of time to hit his modest value of 23.5 fantasy points.
Center
Steven Adams (OKC) @ GS $4,200
In both games against the Warriors this year, Adams has hit value. Enes Kanter, his teammate at center, has done so as well, but Adams is $600 cheaper and will be lower owned. If you’re not paying up for DeMarcus Cousins or Hassan Whiteside, you might want to give Adams a look.
Good Luck tonight!
