*Updated* Free NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 10/30
Updated Cash Lineup posted at the bottom.
My cash lineup I posted the other night cashed in all my 50/50’s but just missed on the double-ups thanks to a horrible performance by Andrew Wiggins. The story of the night for me though was my GPP lineup, as I took down a mini tournament and turned $2 into $125. Ricky Rubio was one of many good picks in that lineup. I took Thursday night off because I don’t really like three-game slates. Okay, so I didn’t totally take the night off, truth be told I threw a few bucks into some GPP’s, but I didn’t invest heavy. Friday’s slate is 12 games and these are plenty of great options, but before we get to my picks, here is the format:
Game Winner My Game Winner will be my top play for the position. I’ll be using a combination of the matchup, recent performances, history against the current opponent and my gut to make my choices for the top play.
Dunk A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside and is someone who should give you the highest return on investment (ROI)
Half-Court Shot Otherwise known as a “punt play”. This player will be at, or near, minimum salary, but is someone I believe has a chance to greatly outperform the salary.
Pass A player deemed a Pass is someone who I’m doing just that. Passing on him. This is a top-tier player that I’ll be avoiding for various reasons. The matchup, price, recent performances, or just a gut feel are a few things I’ll take in an account.
So let’s get started…
NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 10/30/15
Point Guard
Game Winner Damian Lillard, Blazers $9100
All four point guards over 9K should be good tonight, but I’m going with Lillard for a couple reasons. One, he is the cheapest of the four, so he isn’t going to break the bank. Two, he has less offensive talent around him, meaning he is going to get a ton of volume. He had 43 fanduel points in a blowout victory of the Pelicans, and tonight he gets a Suns team that likes to play fast, there should be a ton of points scored in this game.
Dunk Ricky Rubio, Timberwolves $7800
I said this the other night and it’s worth saying again, Rubio has one of the highest floors of any point guard. His assist totals are always high, he’ll get you a few steals and will not turn the ball over. His scoring has always been a welcome bonus, but if he continues to shoot like he did Wednesday night, he could move into the elite category.
Half-Court Shot Matthew Dellavedova, $4000

Delly has limited upside, and if you decide to put him in your lineup, you’re just hoping he reaches value, which at $4000 is 20 fanduel points. His salary allows you to upgrade elsewhere and he won’t kill you.
Pass None
Pretty much all the top guys have good matchups and there isn’t any one I’m completely avoiding.
Shooting Guard
Game Winner Jimmy Butler, Bulls $7700
All aboard the Butler train. He had great night Wednesday and there is no reason to think he can’t do it again versus the Pistons. Pistons aren’t a great defensive team so Butler should have his way.
Dunk C.J. McCollum, Blazers $6000
How could he not be on this list after his opening night performance? His price tag is still relatively low and he should no trouble exceeding value tonight against the Suns.
Half-Court Shot Louis Williams, Lakers $4900
Lou Will had a good night in his first game as a Laker. He is a one trick pony in that all he is going to do is score, but if you’re only going to do one thing, you better be good at it… And he is.
Pass James Harden, Rockets $10700
Harden historically struggles against the Warriors and I expect those troubles to continue. James Harden is at his best in the pick and roll and isolations. The pick and rolls don’t work against the Warriors because Draymond Green can guard every position, and the Warriors switch everything on pick and rolls and because Green is such a good defender it’s hard for opposing teams to create a mismatch. Harden, of course, is one of the best players in the game and could easily have a good game, but he won’t be on my teams.
Small Forward
Game Winner Kawhi Leonard, Spurs $8100
I had him as my Game Winner on Wednesday and he paid off nicely. He is still slightly underpriced and has a good matchup with the Nets. With the questions marks about LeBron James’ health and Kevin Durrant still getting into game form, Leonard is once again my top play.
Dunk Nikola Mirotic, Bulls $6000
He pretty much has to be here after his first two games. He has exceeded his value in both games, and his price hasn’t reach the point that he can’t reach value again.
Half-Court Shot Jae Crowder, Celtics $4700
He had 31 minutes in the opener on Wednesday and stuffed the stat sheet while putting up 27 fanduel points. He should get the same minutes and could very easily turn in a similar performance.
Pass Andrew Wiggins, Timberwolves $7100
I was really high on Wiggins in his opening game the other night against the Lakers and he did nothing for nearly the entire game. There are reports now of a back injury, so there is no way I’m putting him in my lineups until I see him being the player he was last year
Power Forward
Game Winner Derrick Favors, Jazz $7400
Favors had a good opening night scoring 36.7 fanduel points, and against the 76ers I’m expecting him to be better. He is at minimum the second offensive option on this team and should get 35-plus minutes tonight.
Dunk Kenneth Faired, Nuggets $6900
A few more games like he had on Wednesday and we can start calling him the MANimal again. He is a walking double-double and should have his way against the Timberwolves tonight.
Half-Court Shot Julius Randle, Lakers $4700
Randle had a pretty good unofficial debut against the Timberwolves, and if you watched the game it could have been better as he missed a bunch of shots right around the rim. I’m chalking that up early season jitters and I expect him to make those shots tonight.
Pass Pau Gasol, Bulls $7800
Gasol had a much better second game than he did opener, but still not last year’s type numbers. I expect his game 2Â production to be more of what we can expect, but with that said, his price is still too high. Gasol will be on my Pass list until his price comes down.
Center
Game Winner DeMarcus Cousins, Kings $10900
Cousins is still a beast, and with a great matchup with the Lakers, he should be his normal dominant self. Anything less than 50 fanduel points will be a disappointment.
Dunk Al Horford, Hawks $7200
With two back to back games reaching value, Horford is a good bet to do it again tonight. The Hawks lack a true go-to player and Horford isn’t going to emerge as that type of player, but he will still get you 35-45 fanduel points per night.
Half-Court Shot Willie Cauley-Stein, Kings $5000
This one is a true gut call. He only received eight minutes in his debut game against the Clippers but is expected to get the start tonight alongside Cousins. With the starting role and increased minutes Cauley-Stein should easily reach his value at 25 fanduel points.
Pass Rudy Gobert, Jazz $8100
Gobert struggled through the preseason and now into the first game of the regular season. He admitted that fatigue has been an issue after playing Euro basketball over the summer, so until I see him get back to last year’s form, I’ll be avoiding him.
I’m still building my lineups for tonight, but once I get one I likeI will post it here, so be sure to check back later today to see my lineup. In the meantime, subscribe to our newsletter and get all of our content delivered to your inbox.
