Instant Reaction! Dorial Green-Beckham Traded!
This morning the Titans shipped out budding star WR Dorial Green-Beckham to the Eagles. In return they received offensive line man Dennis Kelly. Green-Beckham had 545 yards and 4 touchdowns his rookie year with the Titans. He joins a wide out core that could use some of his talent. With WR Jordan Mathews sidelined with a knee injury and a less then stellar performance from WR Rueben Randle in his week 1 preseason game, they need help. He should have every chance to over take the starting spot from the 1st round draft pick from 2015 WR Nelson Agholor. This is great news for him, since he was struggling to gain a starting spot in a talented Titans offense. QB Sam Bradford also receives a true deep threat in Green-Beckham. It will be interesting to see how quickly they use him in the preseason games, but I don’t expect to see him until at least week 3 of preseason.
What does this mean for your fantasy team? If you took a chance and grabbed him in a late draft, you are about to be rewarded handsomely. If not, and he is still available, go get him off your waiver wire. NOW! If you haven’t had your draft, his ADP just rose. He could get looks as early in the second round but could go as late as a late 3rd early 4th round.
Green-Beckham should see a much larger role in the new offense, assuming he clicks with QB Bradford.. The key will be how well can he adapt and stay focused here. He brings plenty of off the field baggage and in order for him to thrive, he needs to ditch it fast. I see him reaching at least 850 yards and 6 touchdowns with his new team. A second chance to be star in just his second year. Can he make the most of it?
