MLB FanDuel Gut Feeling 6/11- Evening Edition

  It’s not often you get a decent amount of value pitching and good hitters at the right price to create what seems to be a very formidable lineup. My Seattle stack from this afternoon backfired (Marcum stepped up) so I’m hoping yet very confident that this lineup will help me bounce back and end today on a high note. Here is what I’m working with for this evening.

Pitcher: Tanner Roark $5,800

Maybe it’s the DC native in me but I find it hard to turn down a pitcher priced at this amount going against a struggling Brewers lineup. In honor of the home team this is my Ultimate Gut Call of the night.

Catcher: Nick Hundley $2,600

With two or more base hits in three of his past six games, not many catchers are hitting better right now than Hundley. 

First Baseman: Albert Pujols $4,000

Another hitter who’s been hot recently with homers in two of his last three. Colome doesn’t strike out many so there’s potential for balls to be put in play. 

Second Baseman: Danny Espinosa $2,500

For a Nats team who’s bottom of the order is struggling this season, he’s been showing flashes of regaining his hitting touch. I expect Espinosa to get a couple of hits against Garza tonight.

Third Baseman: Todd Frazier $4,400

Frazier and the Reds have been hitting the cover off the ball recently and with Frazier having multi hit games in four of his last five I’m going to try to get a bit of that momentum.

Shortstop: Erick Aybar $2,500

At this price it’s hard to pass up a good switch hitting leadoff man. He allows me to get more power hitters with low risk. 

Outfielder: Adam Jones $3,300

As I’ve stated in other columns Jones is hot this month and I’m hoping it continues tonight against Miley and the Sox.

Outfielder: Giancarlo Stanton $5,300

After a so-so series against the Rockies out west I’m thinking a little home cooking will help him exact a little revenge on the Rockies. Rusin has been tough this season so far but I think Stanton gets to him tonight.

Outfielder: Corey Dickerson $4,300

Fresh off the DL and into my lineup. His bat was cold before his stint on the DL but I think some time off and a friendly pitching staff to hitters in the Marlins could be just what the doctor ordered.
