MLB FanDuel Gut Feeling 6/16- Evening Edition
WIETERS IS OUT!!! Top replacements are Lucroy and Montero. Also feel free to use the extra money to upgrade Freese to Manny Machado
Jose Bautista made me look really good yesterday on my “due theory” with his two homer night. His first shot was an upper decker! As a friend told me yesterday, Citi Field is a pitchers park so that makes what Bautista pulled off even more satisfying. You should have found yourself cashing comfortably in 5050s, it may have been a little tight in double ups. Hudson did make me a little nervous against Seattle last night though. On to tonight’s matchups:
Pitcher: Charlie Morton $7,400
Morton has pitched very well his last four starts and the White Sox bats are cold (five runs in the last three games). Morton doesn’t strike out many but he should give you at least 6 innings and a win tonight.
Catcher: Matt Wieters: $3,100
Similar to how I rode Adam Jones’s hot streak about a week ago I have a feeling a hot streak is on the horizon for Wieters. And Phillies pitcher Jerome Williams has been generous to hitters giving up at least seven hits in all but two of his starts since April 26th. I sense a multi hit game in the works for Wieters which makes the Orioles catcher my Ultimate Gut Call.
First Baseman: Miguel Cabrera $5,300
Cabrera continues to contribute to DFS users posting his fourth stat line generating over 5 FanDuel in his past six games. I expect Cabrera to stay hot tonight against the Reds.
Second Baseman: Jimmy Paredes $2,600
Paredes has a base hit in four of his past five games but has broken the five point barrier only once since June 1st. I expect a big game at the plate from Paredes against hitter friendly Jerome Williams.
Third Baseman: David Freese $2,900
Another hitter friendly pitcher takes the mound in Arizona’s Hellickson against the Angels tonight. Freese has been bothered by a hamstring but with him batting fifth in a lineup that is starting to show signs of life I can’t pass at this price point.
Shortstop: Erick Aybar $2,400
Aybar was 0 for his last 15 at bats before going 1-3 last night. I think he gets a couple of more hits tonight and scores a couple of runs as the Angels should be able to generate offense against Hellickson tonight.
Outfielder: Lorenzo Cain $2,400
I can never seem to find a way to fit Cain into my lineup but he’s in there tonight. I hope this isn’t a knee jerk reaction from his big game last night. But he does have a favorable pitching matchup in Matt Garza so I shouldn’t regret this move.
Outfielder: Andrew McCutchen $4,500
McCutchen has been a steady producer in DFS this season. He won’t give you a ton of big games but he’s good for a solid 3-5 points per night. Quintana has given up 78 hits in 74 innings pitched this season so the Pirates slugger should have another one of those steady nights.

Outfielder: Brett Gardner $4,000
Gardner has been producing extremely well this month with four performances of five points or more on FanDuel. The Marlins can give up big games to opposing hitters. Gardner could be in line for a big game.
Confidence Level: 4 out of 5
Should be another night of cashing in on 50/50 formats. Good luck!!
