MLB Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/25
My lineup cashed yet again last night, with the help of Cardinals starter Carlos Martinez. Let’s look at tonight’s slate and see who you should have in your lineups.
Pitchers
Adam Wainwright, STL – $9,600
Though he’s not the elite strikeout guy he used to be, I still think Wainwright is the top pitcher play for the night slate and for good reason. He’s going up against the worst team in the league with their best two right-handed hitters (Lucroy and Gomez) on the DL. There’s a ton to like here if you’re willing to sacrifice some stellar hitters in your lineup.
James Paxton, SEA – $6,400
If you want to pimp out your lineup, which is where I’m at for tonight, look at Mariners lefty James Paxton as a super cheap option with a favorable matchup. He plays the lefty heavy Twins lineup in pitcher-friendly Safeco Field, so that should make DFS players’ mouths water. There’s great win potential here for the Seattle southpaw, as his lineup will be going up against righty Trevor May. I’m hoping for K’s in the 6+ range and hopefully at least 6 innings, which I think is entirely plausible for Paxton tonight.
Hitters
Kolten Wong, 2B, STL – $2,800
Finally, Wong is starting to produce at the plate and he is being rewarded by being moved up in the Cardinals lineup. He is batting 6th tonight against righty Wily Peralta of the Brewers, which is great overall news. The native Hawaiian is a power and speed threat every night, and at the criminally cheap price tag of $2,800 he needs to be in your lineups!
Andrew McCutchen, OF, PIT – $4,100
2nd best overall player in baseball, going up a rather unimpressive Rubby de la Rosa, and laughably inexpensive. Not much else to say here except get him locked and loaded for tonight.
Justin Upton, OF, SD – $3,500

Even though this game is being played in Petco Park, Upton is cheap and has a solid matchup against lefty Brandon McCarthy of the Dodgers. The Padres outfielder has been battling some injury issues over the past week or so, but it looks like he has been given a clean bill of health and should be ready to murder some baseballs tonight.
Recommended Stacks
Cardinals (lefty) hitters vs. Peralta (Wong, Carpenter, Peralta, Jay)
Braves hitters vs. Buchanan (Markakis, Freeman, Pierzynski, Young. Jr.)
