MLB Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/27

I had my best night ever in Fanduel last night with 62.25 points, and that was without Tulo and a stinker from Lance Lynn! It was a nice little pick-me-up, and I’m ready to have a great fourth week of the season.

Pitchers

David Price, DET – $11,000

Do I dare recommend David Price after his 8 run meltdown last Wednesday in only 2.1 innings pitched against the Yankees? Yes I do, because after all he is David Price and he’s going up against the light-hitting Twins on Monday. Let’s be honest, the Tigers southpaw’s outing last week was an extreme outlier and he is still one of the best pitchers in the game. Expect him to bounce back immediately, and DFS players can anticipate a deep outing with elite strikeout numbers against Minnesota on Monday.

Colin McHugh, HOU – $8,500

Right-hander Colin McHugh has a great matchup against the San Diego Padres in Petco Park on Monday evening, and his price tag makes him an intriguing cash game play for Monday. Yes the Padres do feature a revamped lineup, however most of those prominent new bats lose the platoon advantage against McHugh. I fully expect this game to be a pitcher’s duel with James Shields on the mound for the Pads, so the Astros hurler will have a great opportunity to put up some awesome stats.

Hitters

Ryan Zimmerman, 1B, WAS -$3,000

I like most Nationals hitters tomorrow against unimpressive lefty Eric Stults, but Zimmerman is one of the cheapest and most tantalizing options of the bunch. The veteran utility man has been off to a slow start in 2015, but hopefully he can gain some momentum on Monday. He has hit left-handed pitching 70 points better than righties this season, and the Braves southpaw Stults is seriously not great. Zimmerman still hits in the middle of the Nationals order, so that won’t be a problem. His low price is one of the main attractions here, so get him while he’s cheap!

Jimmy Rollins, SS, LAD – $2,800

2015 Tim Lincecum certainly isn’t the Tim Lincecum of five years ago, and that fact alone makes the switch-hitting Rollins an attractive play at shortstop on Monday. The fact that he is under $3,000 is remarkable, and he won’t be at that low price point for a long time. The former MVP is a fixture at the top of the Dodgers lineup, and his power and speed threat make him a must-start option for DFS players on the 26th.
