MLB Fanduel Lineup Advice 5/10

We got back to our cashing ways on Saturday with an easy cash thanks to a great Twins stack and Mike Trout! Onto Sunday’s slate that starts at 1:05, let’s get the new streak to two days!

Pitchers

Felix Hernandez, SEA – $11,300

King Felix is far and away the best pitching option on Sunday, and his high anticipated ownership and great matchup are going to make him hard to fade. He is going up against the large-swinging Athletics squad, in spacious Safeco Field of all places. Hernandez is a much better pitcher at home (0.78 vs. 2.89 ERA), and he should continue his early season success against Oakland on Sunday afternoon. Look for a usual elite outing from the King, with somewhere around 7 IP, 2 ER or fewer, and hopefully 9+ strikeouts which are tantalizing numbers for DFS owners.

Jake Odorizzi, TAM – $8,700

Related Articles

Odorizzi is coming off an illness on Saturday, but he should be healthy enough to go on Sunday and has a great matchup against the Texas Rangers. Like Hernandez, Odorizzi has pitched better in his home park of Tropicana Field (1.86 vs. 2.53 ERA) and he has more strikeouts at home than on the road. The young Rays righty has some good history against most Texas hitters, so if you’re looking to fade King Felix on Sunday Jake Odorizzi of the Tampa Bay Rays is going to be a great option.

Other options: Andrew Cashner (SD), Chris Young (KC), Jordan Zimmerman (WAS)

Hitters

Victor Martinez, C, DET – $3,600

V-Mart has been sizzling over his last four games, going 7-for-15 with one homer, two doubles and six RBI and he has another good matchup on Sunday. The Royals are sending veteran righty Chris Young to the mound, and I don’t think he has that great of a chance at containing the potent Tigers offense in Comerica Park. You need to make sure that Martinez is actually in the daily lineup, but if he is (usually batting cleanup) he looks like a great mid-priced option at catcher and definitely affordable with King Felix.

Robinson Cano, 2B, SEA – $3,400

Another reasonably priced stud alongside V-Mart, the Mariners second baseman has been seeing the ball well at the plate recently with 8 hits in his last four games and 2 RBI. Awkwardly enough, Cano has been hitting almost 150 points worse against lefties than right-handed pitching, but I think the former Yankee can reverse that trend on Sunday against rather unimpressive righty Jesse Chavez for the Athletics. Look for Cano to be in the middle of the Mariners lineup and I think he can put up another multi-hit performance on Sunday afternoon.
