NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for 2/2/17
What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back with my free NBA DFS FanDuel advice for the 2/2/16 slate of games. Thursday’s main slate will consist of a small four-game schedule. I still see plenty of solid plays to choose from, especially on the value side. In this article, I’m going to give you guys a couple of nice value plays to roll with for each position, so let’s get started!
Point Guard
T.J. McConnell, @ SAS ($5,900)
I know the Spurs defense seems daunting but they’ve actually been rather inconsistent thus far. So far this season, San Antonio has allowed an average of 41.4 FD points per contest to opposing point guards. This year, McConnell has managed to average a cool 19.49 FD points per outing for his owners. In five of his last six games, T.J. has scored 28+ FPPG for his loyal owners.
Austin Rivers, vs. GSW ($5,800)
Yes, Blake Griffin being back will impact Rivers’ offensive value. At his price tag, though, Austin should be a killer value option in a fast-paced atmosphere. So far this year, the Warriors have given up an average of 43.2 FD points per game to opposing point guards. This season, Rivers has averaged 18.71 FD points per outing for his owners. This season, Rivers is averaging 11.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 27.2 minutes per game for the Clippers.
Shooting Guard
Eric Gordon, vs. ATL ($5,600)
Houston’s sixth man of the year candidate is one of my favorite value options for this slate of games! So far this season, Gordon is averaging 17.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 30.2 minutes per game for the Rockets. This year, he’s managed to average a smooth 25.18 FD points per contest for his owners. Over their last five games, the Hawks have allowed an average of 42.0 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards.
Tim Hardaway, @ HOU ($4,900)
If Thabo Sefolosha sits out once again for this slate, Hardaway will be one of my go-to value plays. In three of his last five games, he’s scored 24+ FD points per contest for the Hawks. So far this year, Hardaway has managed to average a decent 18.18 FD points per game for his owners. This season, the Rockets have given up an average of 37.1 FD points per game to opposing shooting guards.
Small Forward
Trevor Ariza, vs. ATL ($5,300)
I like this game a lot from a DFS standpoint for such a small slate of games. Over their last five games, the Hawks have allowed an average of 45.8 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards. So far this season, Ariza has managed to average a consistent 25.16 FD points per game for his loyal owners. This year, he’s averaging 11.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 34.2 minutes per game for Houston.
Kent Bazemore, @ ATL ($5,000)

Just like Hardaway, Bazemore could be a decent value option in a fast-paced game. Over their last five games, the Rockets have given up an average of 43.1 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards. So far this year, Bazemore is averaging 11.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 27.3 minutes per game for Atlanta. This season, he’s managed to average a solid 20.95 FD points per game.
Power Forward
Ryan Anderson, vs. ATL ($5,900)
From top to bottom, this article is going to be full of Houston value options for Thursday night. So far this season, Anderson has managed to average a super solid 22.46 FD points per outing for his loyal owners. Over his last two starts, he’s scored 37+ FPPG for the Rockets. This year, the Hawks have given up an average of 39.3 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards.
Center
Clint Capela, vs. ATL ($4,900)
Alright, this is officially the last Houston guy that I’m going to talk about in this article. Yes, the Hawks have a decent group of post defenders but I feel like Capela could still meet value. So far this season, he’s managed to average a cool 24.51 FD points per game for his DFS owners. This year, Capela is averaging 11.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 22.6 minutes per game for the Rockets. This season, Atlanta has allowed an average of 42.0 FD points per game to opposing centers.
Ivica Zubac, @ WAS ($4,700)
The Lakers are really thin at their post positions right now, making a guy like Zubac a must have value option. Over his last three games, Ivica has scored 24+ FD points per outing for the Lakers. So far this season, the Wizards have given up an average of 46.0 FD points per contest to opposing centers.
Well, those are my NBA DFS value plays for the 2/2/16 slate of games. Hopefully, with my advice, you guys will prosper on Thursday night. Thanks for reading and good luck, everyone!
