NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice 2/24/16
With a ten game slate on the horizon, it’s important to have a focus. There are some high game totals, along with a few spreads that aren’t terribly high. We’re going to have to focus on teams with relatively high implied point totals and players with high usage ratings. Of course, for cash games we want consistency and high floors. As long as the games we pull these players from don’t end up being blowouts, we should be golden.
Here is my FanDuel cash game lineup.
PG
Derrick Rose-CHI-$7,200-Rose has been the poster boy for consistency since Jimmy Butler went down, averaging 36.38 fantasy points over the last eight games. Next up for the Bulls is a home game against the Washington Wizards, who rank in the bottom of the half of the league when it comes to defending the point guard position. The line is currently set at 211 points with Chicago being 2 point favorites. Rose is set to have another solid game.
Reggie Jackson-DET-$6,800-Jackson has had a few solid games since returning from the All-Star break. He no longer has Brandon Jennings breathing down his neck, making him worry if his starting job was secure. The Pistons will be without Anthony Tolliver and Stanley Johnson, leaving them short handed outside of the starting five. Steve Blake is a serviceable backup, but my guess is that Jackson will be asked to play a few extra minutes if coach Van Gundy wants to pull off the victory. Philadelphia is terrible against point guards, so Jackson shouldn’t have any trouble reaching value.
SG
E’Twaun Moore-CHI-$4,300-Other than Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol, E’Twaun Moore has been the biggest beneficiary of the Jimmy Butler injury. Moore has given us over 20 fantasy points in five out of the last six games, with the one game under 20 being against the stout defense of the Cavaliers. I will always look to roster a shooting guard that can give me peripheral stats, and Moore has been doing just that. He is averaging 3.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, .6 blocks, and .8 steals to go along with 11.5 points over the last 10 games. In a plus matchup against a fast paced team, I like Moore as one of the top value plays of the slate.
Jamal Crawford-LAC-$4,900-If you’re like me, then you’ve been riding the Crawford train for quite some time now. Since Blake Griffin, and more recently, Austin Rivers went down with injury, Crawford has been logging heavy minutes and has seen a spike in his usage. Before the last game against the Phoenix Suns, Crawford had scored 20 plus points in six of nine games, registering at least 22 fantasy points over that stretch. He only played 17 minutes against Phoenix because the game was well in hand early on. I expect Denver to put up a little more of a fight, leaving the Clippers to roll out their normal rotation, giving Crawford heavy minutes once again.
SF
Tobias Harris-DET-$5,700-Harris seems to be fitting in nicely in Detroit, logging 30 or more minutes in each game since being traded. Harris will once again be asked to log heavy minutes as he picks up the slack for the injured Anthony Tolliver and Stanley Johnson. In a prime matchup against the 76ers, I expect Harris to continue to shine for his new team.
Chandler Parsons-DAL-$6,700-This game is set to be one of the highest scoring games of the night, and it looks like it’s going to stay somewhat close, with Oklahoma City favored by six points. Dallas doesn’t have too many young players anymore, so I’m looking for Parsons to be leaned on in this uptempo matchup against two of the most talented players in the league; Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. Parsons has shown that he can score when called upon, and he’ll be called upon tonight.

LaMarcus Aldridge-SAS-$7,200-Aldridge has finally been showing some consistency with his new team, going for over 35 fantasy points in eight of the last ten games. San Antonio is up against Sacramento today, who plays at one of the fastest paces in the NBA, doesn’t play much defense, and is on the back half of a back to back. This game is surprisingly set with the highest over under at 216.5 and only a seven point spread favoring the Spurs, so I’m expecting starters to see their full compliment of minutes. This is a great matchup for Aldridge, and it wouldn’t surprise me if we get his best game of the season tonight.
Draymond Green-GSW-$8,400-Green seems to be back to form after hitting a rough patch right before the All-Star break. In the three games since returning from the break, he is averaging 12.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 9 assists per game. Miami is still without Chris Bosh, which leaves the likes of Luol Deng, Josh McRoberts, and maybe Amare Stoudemire to try to keep up with Dray. Those guys might be in trouble. Green is a high-energy hustle player that won’t let Miami’s stout defense slow him down in pursuit of his 12th triple double this season.
C
Andre Drummond-DET-$8600-Drummond has been an absolute machine this season, averaging 16.9 points, 14.9 rebounds, .8 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.7 steals per game. He’s double doubled in ten straight games. Philadelphia is terrible at defending opposing big men (see Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon yesterday), and Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel are really going to have trouble trying to keep Drummond contained. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see a 20-20 night from Drummond
