NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Lineup – Week 13 (Main Slate – 13 Games 12/4/16)
Each week, I’ll create a cash game lineup for DraftKings. Since this is usually posted by Wednesday, the cash game lineups may change slightly by Sunday.
In cash games, you should always look for each player to reach at least 3x value.
DraftKings Points/(Player Salary/1000) = Value
Example: If Carson Wentz has a $5,000 salary and scored 15 DraftKings (DK) points, Wentz would reach 3x value based on the formula below.
15 DK Points/($5,000/1,000) = 3x Value
I will also present a 3x stat line. The 3x stat line is not a projection, but a hypothetical stat line that would allow the player to reach three times his value. When creating your own cash game lineup, choose players who you believe can reach the 3x stat line. If you look at a player and don’t think he can reach the 3x stat line, consider choosing a different option in your own lineup.
Week 12 Lineup Review
Our week 12 lineup did not do very well. On Sunday morning, I tweeted that I was going to move down from Jay Ajayi to Melvin Gordon and move up from Doug Baldwin to Larry Fitzgerald. The right move would have been to keep Baldwin in the lineup and move from Russell Wilson to Drew Brees. The lineup scored 108.04 DK points and did not cash in any of the 50/50s I entered. Let’s hope we make the right pivots this week and our team scores more than one touchdown! See last week’s lineup below.
NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Lineup – Week 13
QB – Drew Brees vs. (DET) – $7,600
Brees is dominant at home. Just look at his home/road splits this season (below). The Saints have a team total of almost 30 points and the 53.5 over/under is 4.5 points higher than any other game on the slate. To top it all off, the Lions are 32nd against the pass this season.
3x stat line: 300 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, -2 rushing yards = 22.8 DK Points

RB – David Johnson vs. (WAS) – $9,500
I’m running out of good things to say about David Johnson. He’s amazing. Everything he does is good for your lineups, and this week he gets to face the 32nd ranked rush defense. The Cardinals are favored at home and have a decent team total for how poorly Carson Palmer has played this season.
3x stat line: 17 carries, 105 rushing yards, 5 catches, 40 rushing yards, 1 total touchdown = 28.5 DK Points
RB – Jeremy Hill vs. (PHI) – $4,300
While Hill didn’t play as many snaps as I thought he would last week, he set career highs in most of his receiving numbers. While the Eagles are 12th against the run, the game should set up better for Hill this week as the Bengals are favored at home.
3x stat line: 16 carries, 69 rushing yards, 3 catches, 30 receiving yards = 12.9 DK Points
WR – Tyreek Hill at (ATL) – $4,600
Hill is averaging 20.9 DK points on 9.33 targets over the past three games. He’s involved in the passing game, running game, and could return a kick. Hill has a solid floor and incredible upside due to his speed and his involvement in multiple facets of the game.
3x stat line: 6 catches, 68 receiving yards, 2 carries, 10 rushing yards = 13.8 DK Points
WR – Marquess Wilson vs. (SF) – $4,000
Wilson exploded last week against the Titans, almost reaching 10x his salary. I like him again this week as the 49ers have allowed the most touchdowns to opposing wide receivers this season. At 6’4” 205 pounds, Wilson may be hard for the 49ers to defend as they have struggled to defend big wide receivers this year.
3x stat line: 5 catches, 70 receiving yards = 12.0 DK Points
WR – Dorial Green-Beckham at (CIN) – $3,000
Green-Beckham has 18 targets over his past two games and is averaging 15.3 DK points per game over the same stretch. Teammate Jordan Matthews is nursing an ankle injury, so it’s possible Green-Beckham can sustain this volume in week 13.
3x stat line: 4 catches, 50 receiving yards = 9.0 DK Points
TE – Travis Kelce at (ATL) – $4,700
Kelce has 24 targets over the past two weeks and has gone over 100 yards in each game. He’s gone over 20 DK points in two straight games without scoring a touchdown. The Falcons coverage against the tight end doesn’t scare me as they have given up seven touchdowns to the position.
3x stat line: 4 catches, 41 receiving yards, 1 touchdown = 14.1 DK Points
FLEX – Le’Veon Bell vs. (NYG) – $9,200
Just like David Johnson, I don’t really need to tell you how good Bell is. He’s averaging 32.9 DK points over his past three games and has 10 catch upside in any game. The Giants defense is very solid, but with a 27 point team total, Vegas doesn’t seem too worried about the Steelers’ ability to score.
3x stat line: 17 carries, 99 rushing yards, 6 catches, 57 rushing yards, 1 total touchdown = 27.6 DK Points
D/ST – Baltimore D/ST vs. (MIA) – $3,000
The Ravens are favored by three at home, and the Dolphins have a team total of under 19 points. The Ravens match up well against the Dolphins strengths. The Dolphins love to run, and the Ravens rank 1st against the run. The Ravens also lead the league in adjusted sack rate, leading me to believe there will be pressure on Ryan Tannehill if they do decide to throw.
3x stat line: 14-20 points against, 2 sacks, 3 total turnovers = 9.0 DK Points
