NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Lineup – Week 2 (Main Slate – 14 Games)
Each week, I’ll create a cash game lineup for DraftKings. Since this is usually posted by Wednesday, the cash game lineups may change slightly by Sunday.
In cash games, you should always look for each player to reach at least 3x value.
DraftKings Points/(Player Salary/1000) = Value
Example: If Carson Wentz has a $5,000 salary and scored 15 DraftKings (DK) points, Wentz would reach 3x value based on the formula below.
15 DK Points/($5,000/1,000) = 3x Value
I will also present a 3x stat line. The 3x stat line is not a projection, but a hypothetical stat line that would allow the player to reach three times his value. When creating your own cash game lineup, choose players who you believe can reach the 3x stat line. If you look at a player and don’t think he can reach the 3x stat line, consider choosing a different option in your own lineup.
Week 1 Review
Our Week 1 lineup did well. The lineup scored 150.86 DK points and cashed in all of the 50/50s I entered. It also cashed in the NFL $5M Fantasy Football Millionaire. See last week’s lineup below.
NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Lineup – Week 2
QB: Trevor Siemian vs. (IND) – $5,200
Against a tough Carolina defense, Siemian put up 11.8 DK points. The Colts defense just gave up 39 points at home and now travel to the altitude in Denver. While I don’t expect Siemian and the Broncos to score 39, Siemian only needs to be marginally better than last week against a porous Colts defense to pay off his $5,200 salary.
3x Stat Line: 225 passing yards, 1 pass TD, 26 rushing yards = 15.6 DK Points

RB: C.J. Anderson vs. (IND) – $6,800
C.J. Anderson may have been one of the biggest surprises in week 1 with 24 touches, two scores and 29.9 DK points. He faces a poor Colts defense (29th in rush defense DVOA) this week. The Broncos are six-point favorites at home, meaning the game script should work in Anderson’s favor.
3x Stat Line: 20 carries, 104 rushing yards, 4 catches, 30 receiving yards = 20.4 DK Points
RB: DeAngelo Williams vs. (CIN) – $7,100
Williams had 32 touches last week including 6 receptions on 9 targets. This is a rare workload for a running back in today’s game. Lamar Miller also received 32 touches in week 1, but the next closest running back was Matt Forte with 27. I’ll take the volume and the receptions for $7,100.
3x Stat Line: 19 carries, 89 rushing yards, 3 catches, 34 receiving yards, 1 total TD = 21.3 DK Points
WR: Odell Beckham Jr. vs. (NO) – $9,500
When Beckham Jr. played the Saints last season, he went off for 8 catches, 130 receiving yards, and 3 TDs. The Saints are 31st in DVOA (28th in pass defense DVOA) after conceding 35 points to the Raiders. The Giants have the second highest team total in week 2 and the Saints will be without their best corner, Delvin Breaux.
3x Stat Line: 9 catches, 117 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD = 29.7 DK Points
WR: A.J. Green at. (PIT) – $8,900
Green exploded against what’s left of Revis Island in week 1 hauling in 12 of his 13 targets. Without a clear second receiving option, Green will continue to see targets at a high rate. If the Bengals are going to keep up with Antonio Brown and the Steelers offense, its likely Green is the center of the attack.
3x Stat Line: 7 catches, 107 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD = 26.7 DK Points
WR: Jeremy Kerley at (CAR) – $3,000
Kerley received 11 targets in week 1 (only seven wide receivers had more), and he’s still the minimum salary in week 2. Kerley is the clear top option in San Francisco receiving over 31 percent of Blaine Gabbert’s passes last week. The 49ers will likely play from behind leading to a positive game script for Kerley and the 49ers passing attack.
3x Stat Line: 4 catches, 50 receiving yards = 9 DK Points
TE: Virgil Green vs. (IND) – $2,800
I’m not enamored with Virgil Green as a player, but his situation is what I look for in my TEs on DraftKings. His team is favored, at home, with a high team total (26 points). At $2,800, he doesn’t need much to pay off his salary.
3x Stat Line: 4 catches, 44 receiving yards = 8.4 DK Points
FLEX: Tajae Sharpe at (DET) – $4,100
Sharpe impressed last week catching 7 passes for 76 yards on 11 targets. His price rose this week, but is still reasonable for the Titans top receiver. I’m going back to the well this week with Tajae Sharpe.
3x Stat Line: 5 catches, 61 receiving yards = 11.1 DK Points
D/ST: San Diego Chargers vs. (JAX) – $2,500
Let me be clear about this. I don’t like the Chargers defense this week. The reason they are here is because they are only $2,500 and allow us to get all the top options above. Here’s the positives. The Jaguars only have a team total of only 22 points and will travel across the country for the game. Also, Blake Bortles has been sacked on almost 9 percent of his drop-backs throughout his career and has a 3.2 percent career interception rate.
3x Stat Line: = 14-20 points against, 3 sacks, 2 turnovers = 8 DK Points
