NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Lineup – Week 8 (Main Slate – 10 Games 10/30/16)

Each week, I’ll create a cash game lineup for DraftKings. Since this is usually posted by Wednesday, the cash game lineups may change slightly by Sunday.

In cash games, you should always look for each player to reach at least 3x value.

DraftKings Points/(Player Salary/1000) = Value

Example: If Carson Wentz has a $5,000 salary and scored 15 DraftKings (DK) points, Wentz would reach 3x value based on the formula below.

15 DK Points/($5,000/1,000) = 3x Value

I will also present a 3x stat line. The 3x stat line is not a projection, but a hypothetical stat line that would allow the player to reach three times his value. When creating your own cash game lineup, choose players who you believe can reach the 3x stat line. If you look at a player and don’t think he can reach the 3x stat line, consider choosing a different option in your own lineup.

Week 7 Lineup Review

Our week 7 lineup did well as long as you paid attention to my Twitter updates. On Sunday morning, I mentioned that if LeSean McCoy was going to play, I would pay up for Spencer Ware and pay down at wide receiver. lineup-adviceI pivoted from Mike Gillislee to Spencer Ware, and from Allen Robinson to Tyrell Williams and the lineup scored 185.82. This score cashed in all of the 50/50s I entered. If you followed me and followed that advice, your lineup probably did well. See last week’s lineup (before the updates) below. week-7-lineup

NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Lineup – Week 8

QB – Jameis Winston vs. (OAK) – $5,700

The Raiders are 26th against the pass this season (all rankings refer to Football Outsiders DVOA). They are traveling to the east coast for an early game and the Buccaneers have a team total of 24.5 points. The Raiders have given up over 300 passing yards per game on average and have allowed at least three passing touchdowns in a game three times this year.

3x stat line: 225 passing yards, 1 rushing yard, 2 passing touchdowns = 17.1 DK points

RB – Devontae Booker vs. (SD) – $3,700

With C.J. Anderson out this week, Booker takes over as the lead back. The Broncos running backs handled 34 touches last week, and with Anderson out, Booker will absorb a larger share of that role. The Chargers are 18th against the run, but the Broncos are currently the second highest favorite on the slate, so Booker should see a positive game script.

3x stat line: 15 carries, 71 rushing yards, 2 catches, 20 receiving yards = 11.1 DK points

RB – David Johnson at (CAR) – $7,700

David Johnson has three straight games of over 28 DK points, and averages 26.1 DK points per game this season. His involvement in the passing game (6.57 targets per game) makes him a cash game option even though the Panthers rank 6th against the run.

3x stat line: 17 carries, 91 rushing yards, 5 catches, 30 receiving yards, 1 touchdown = 23.1 DK points

WR – Mike Evans vs. (OAK) – $8,100

Mike Evans has double-digit targets in each game since week 1. Evans leads the league in targets per game and has a high target share in the red zone. Combine that with Oakland’s 26th ranked pass defense, and you have a quality cash game receiver.

3x stat line: 5 catches, 103 receiving yards, 1 touchdown = 24.3 DK points

WR – Randall Cobb at (ATL) – $6,600

Cobb has 37 targets over the past three weeks, and has converted those into 27 receptions. In his first three games of the year, Cobb only had 18 targets and 12 receptions. Cobb has been more involved in the passing game recently, and I expect Desmond Trufant to shadow Jordy Nelson, leading to more targets directed toward Cobb.

3x stat line: 7 catches, 68 receiving yards, 1 touchdown = 19.8 DK points

WR – Ty Montgomery at (ATL) – $5,300

Montgomery has ten catches in consecutive weeks. He is heavily involved in both the Packers’ rushing and passing attacks. The Falcons are 21st against the run, and give up the second most passes per game to running backs, which is where Montgomery lined up for the majority of his snaps in Week 7.

3x stat line: 8 carries, 34 rushing yards, 6 catches 65 receiving yards = 15.9 DK points

TE – C.J. Fiedorowicz vs. (DET) – $2,800

The Lions are 27th against tight ends in 2016 and have given up seven passing touchdowns to opposing tight ends. Fiedorowicz has at least seven targets in each of the last three weeks, and is still only $2,800.

3x stat line: 4 catches, 44 receiving yards = 8.4 DK points

FLEX – Devonta Freeman vs. (GB) – $6,500

With Tevin Coleman likely out this week, Freeman should take over most of the running back touches. Heavily involved in the passing game, Freeman has a high floor even against a quality Packers rush defense. The Falcons also have the highest team total of the week and are favored at home.

3x stat line: 18 carries, 75 rushing yards, 6 catches, 60 receiving yards = 19.5 DK points

D/ST – Denver Broncos vs. (SD) – $3,700

The Chargers have a team total under 20 points and the Broncos are 4.5 point favorites at home. Denver has a quality pass rush and has the 2nd best pass defense which leaves Melvin Gordon and his 3.3 yards per carry (50th in the league) to try to do damage.

3x stat line: 14-20 points against, 4 sacks, 3 turnovers = 11 DK points (2.97x)
