NFL DFS Value Plays Week 2 | DraftKings

What’s up, GF2 followers! After a crazy first week of football action, I’m back with some great DFS value options for Week 2! I’ve got a feeling about a ton of cheaper guys that could do well for your lineups on Sunday. Every week I’ll be covering the main slate of games. Let’s get started!

The GameFly DraftKings Value Plays for Week 2

Ty Montgomery (GB) @ ATL $5,800

This is by far my favorite game to target this week! Right now, the O/U is right around 54 points, so it should be an exciting one! Ty Montgomery is coming off a very successful Week 1 against the Seahawks where he scored 19.3 DK points for his owners. This week, Montgomery will draw an extra juicy matchup against a Falcons defense who currently ranks 29th versus the run.

Quarterbacks

Sam BradfordSam Bradford (MIN) @ PIT $5,500

I know that Bradford missed practice on Wednesday with a knee injury but I’m not alarmed just yet. He seemed just fine in his stellar outing against the Saints on Monday night. In that games, Bradford threw for 346 yards and three scores in route to a big fantasy night. With his past health issues, he’ll most likely sit out plenty of practices all year long, so be ready to play Bradford come Sunday.

Jared Goff (LAR) vs. WAS $5,100

I’ll be completely honest with you guys, I have been a Goff hater since the day the Rams drafted him. Well, he officially proved me wrong last week against the Colts. Yes, Indianapolis has a putrid defense but his 306 passing yards was still impressive. In that game versus the Colts, Goff scored a very nice 19.4 DK points and should be a great value this week versus Washington.

Running Backs

Mike Gillislee (NE) @ NO ($5,700)

Wow, did Gillislee burst on to the scene for the Patriots last week! He ended the game with a massive three touchdown night against a really good Chiefs defense in a 42-27 loss. Well, this week, Gillislee will play against a much easier defense in the Saints who rank 21st overall at defending against running backs. I don’t quite expect another three score game but there is no reason why Gillislee won’t grab at least one touchdown in this contest.

C.J. Anderson (DEN) vs. DAL ($4,700)

The Cowboys defense absolutely shut down the Giants offense last week but I’m still not a believer. Yes, I’m one of the biggest Dallas fans in America but their defensive line isn’t one of the best in the league. The good thing about Anderson is the fact that he’ll see plenty of work for the Broncos. Last week, he rushed the ball 20 times for 81 yards and looked really good for Denver.

Wide Receivers

Davante Adams (GB) @ ATL ($5,600)Davante Adams

Adams didn’t have a big game last week versus Seattle but he did draw coverage from Richard Sherman. This week, he has a much more favorable matchup against an Atlanta defense that Green Bay should be able to move the ball against. Adams was targeted seven times in his Week 1 contest by Aaron Rodgers and will be looked upon often on Sunday night!

Cooper Kupp (LAR) vs. WAS ($4,100)

Right now, I’m a believer in this Los Angles offense! If I’m going to insert Goff into my DFS lineups, I’ll more than likely pair him up with the rookie. I’m expecting Sammy Watkins to be covered by Josh Norman, leaving plenty of opportunities for Kupp to excel. Last week, he ended the game with four catches for 76 yards and a touchdown.

Tight Ends

Kyle RudolphKyle Rudolph (MIN) @ PIT ($4,200)

Like the Rams offense, I’m really digging what Minnesota is doing on that side of the ball as well this year. Rudolph is always a red-zone threat and will be targeted by his quarterback plenty for Week 2. Last week, he finished his contest with the Saints, scoring 11.6 DK points for his owners. In that game, Rudolph caught three passes for 26 yards and a score.

Jared Cook (OAK) vs. NYJ ($3,300)

If I end up paying up for a quarterback this week, it’ll easily be Derek Carr starting for my team. After Week 1, the Jets currently ranked 26th overall against opposing tight ends, making Cook an intriguing option. Last week, he had a solid game where he caught all five of his targets for 56 yards against the Titans.

Defense

Rams vs. WAS ($3,000)

After watching how bad Kirk Cousins was last week, I truly believe that this will be another dominant defensive effort for Los Angeles. They won’t quite match their Week 1 total of 28.0 DK points but they’ll sure try!

Chargers vs. MIA ($2,800)

If you’re looking to save a little cash at defense for this week, check out the Chargers. They’ll be playing a Dolphins team that could come out of the gate a bit sluggish after missing their first game due to Hurricane Irma. Also, Jay Cutler has been notorious for turning the ball over, making Los Angles that more enticing for this week.
