NFL DFS Value Plays Week 4 | DraftKings
What’s up, GF2 followers! After a crazy first week of football action, I’m back with some great DFS value options for Week 4! I’ve got a feeling about a ton of cheaper guys that could do well for your lineups on Sunday. Every week I’ll be covering the main slate of games. Let’s get started!
The GameFly DraftKings Value Plays for Week 4
Quarterbacks
Jared Goff (LAR) @ DAL $5,600
Goff’s Sophomore season with the Rams has been going really well thus far and should continue into Week 4! He’ll be facing off against a lackluster Dallas secondary that ranks 25th overall against opposing quarterbacks in 2017. So far this year, Goff has thrown for 817 yards, five touchdowns and just one interception. This season, he’s managed to average a super solid 18.4 FPPG for his owners.
Trevor Siemian (DEN) vs. OAK $5,200
I would have never guessed that I’d even be talking about this kid at the beginning of the 2017 season in my DFS articles. Well, he’s looked great so far this year, averaging an explosive 19.3 FPPG for his owners and draws a juicy matchup for Sunday’s slate. This season, the Raiders currently rank 29th overall against opposing quarterbacks. Oakland was most recently torched by Kirk Cousins on Sunday Night Football last weekend.
Running Backs
Joe Mixon (CIN) @ CLE $5,700
Week 3 was officially Mixon’s coming out party for his NFL career! No, he didn’t knock our socks off with an incredible fantasy day but he did show that he’s more than capable of being an every-down back for the Bengals. Versus the Packers, Mixon rushed the ball 18 times for 69 yards and caught three passes for 39 yards. This week, he’ll be facing off against a mediocre Browns defense that ranks 15th overall versus opposing running backs.
Duke Johnson (CLE) vs. CIN $4,500
The Bengals defense isn’t the best matchup for the average running back but I’ve got faith in Duke this weekend. Cincinnati doesn’t cover the middle of the field well against the pass, which is exactly where you may find Johnson on Sunday. He’ll be setting up in the slot early and often for Cleveland. In his last game, Duke caught six passes for 81 yards and even rushed for a score as well.
Wide Receivers
Sammy Watkins (LAR) @ DAL $5,900
I’m a firm believer in pairing my starting quarterback with a stud receiver, so keep your eye on Watkins this weekend. He’ll draw a matchup against an awful Dallas secondary that ranks 26th overall at defending against opposing wide receivers. You will want to keep your eye on Watkins’ health closer to Sunday due to his recent concussion, though. So far this year, he’s managed to average a nice 15.8 FPPG for his owners.

Sterling Shepard (NYG) @ TB $5,000
We all thought Brandon Marshall was going to be the second most targeted option among this group of Giants receivers. Well, we were all wrong because Shepard absolutely killed it last weekend, seeing 10 targets. For Week 3, he caught seven passes for 133 yards and a touchdown. This week, Shepard will face off against a Tampa Bay defense that ranks 32nd overall at defending against opposing wide receivers.
Tight Ends
Cameron Brate (TB) vs. NYG $3,800
The Giants are a stout overall defense but just can’t seem to stop opposing team’s tight ends, ranking 31st overall in 2017. I’m by no means the biggest supporter of Brate but I just can’t deny this juicy matchup. He’s coming off of a solid outing against the Vikings where he caught four passes for 33 yards and a score. If we cant get a similar stat this weekend, then Brate we’ll be a fine play for our lineups.
Charles Clay (BUF) @ ATL $3,700
If you guys don’t feel like gambling on Brate, then check out Clay instead. He’s been a super consistent option at tight end thus far, averaging a cool 12.2 FPPG for his loyal owners. Clay draws an okay matchup against an Atlanta defense that ranks 9th overall against the position. The Bills will more than likely be playing from behind, which just means more passing targets for one of Tyrod Taylor’s favorite options.
Defense
ARI vs. SF $3,200
The Cardinals defense hasn’t been quite as stifling to their opponents this year but I’ve got a feeling about this matchup. This season, Arizona has only managed to average a moderate 6.0 FPPG for their owners. The thing is a player such as Patrick Peterson can score a defensive touchdown in the blink of an eye. Anything is possible when facing off against this 49ers offense!
DET @ MIN $2,700
I keep thinking that streaming against Vikings offense will be a smart idea with Case Keenum behind center. Well, I’m going to try it again this week with an extremely consistent Detroit defense. So far this year, the Lions have averaged a massive 15.3 FPPG for their owners. In 2017, Detroit has record seven interceptions, eight sacks and three defensive scores.
