NFL Week 1 DFS Value Plays for DraftKings
How’s it going fellow fantasy sports enthusiasts, Mr Fantasy Dimes here and we’re back and so is football, finally! As the title says we are gonna be looking for value at every spot in order to help you finish off that fire roster on DK for week 1. Keep in mind that this is for the main slate which is Sunday at noon with 12 games on DraftKings.

Last year, Handsome Jimmy had 3 games with over 30 fantasy points, 2 of them were against the Cardinals. Not only that but the Cardinals ranked dead last against defending the Tight End position and Jimmy is going to be targeting Kittle a whole ton. Now the Cardinals attempted to work on that issue with the draft but don’t expect improvements from week 1. Plus the 49ers have injuries all over their receiving corps so we can expect Jimmy to hit the man he knows best out there. At only 5800 Jimmy is a Value QB.
This next one is only if youre feeling really brave
Ryan Fitzpatrick @5300 vs NE
Pure GPP play!!! Last year his week 1 vs Bal wasn’t what one would want out of their fantasy starting QB. However his 2018 week one was one for the ages!!! With 417 yards and 4 TDs his output left many wondering why they didn’t see this happening. His supporting cast isn’t much better from last year but Vegas sportsbooks have them trailing most of the game and thus he should have plenty of chances to do some FitzMagic out there. That being said, play him at your own risk, he could give you those wonderful 42.3 FPts or 10.2 FPts.
Running Back
Antonio Gibson @4000 vs PHI
This play is super simple, Washington Football Team cut everyone else and is left with Gibson and McKissic. They know what they have in McKissic (who also comes in at 4000) a passing-down specialist, so they’ll be kicking the tires on what they have in Gibson. If Gibson does well then their other running backs will be left scraping for what touches are left. He will be chalk city tho
Boston Scott @4800 vs WAS
Miles Sanders is limping into week 1 and if he plays, IF, he may face some sort of restrictions. That leaves Corey Clement and Boston Scott as their only running backs. Even then, reports out of camp today indicate that Clement is still limited dealing with a quad injury. This may leave Scott as the last man standing, in which case then his price is a super value! This is a situation that needs to be monitered.
Chris Thompson @4000 vs IND
Indy is looking very good this year and they should be up early as their Vegas line indicates. This will cause Jacksonville to spend a lot of time trying to catch up, which means lots of throwing downs for Thompson to play. Many will be on Jacksonville’s other RBs but I think Thompson will be the RB to own week 1.

Stack Alert!!! Grabbing a team’s number one at the price tag of 5800 is good, but grabbing one going against the lowly Jaguars is even better. Indy will be taking advantage of the defense that should be towards the bottom of the pack by exploiting their holes at DB. Not only that but Indy’s O-line looks to be better, which should give Rivers the ability to throw down the field at Hilton. Reports have camp also have them working well together, easy grab.
DeSean Jackson @4900 vs WAS
Health is always an issue with DeSean, but while he is healthy, there is no doubt that he works wonders with Wentz. As of right now, he is healthy as can be and in camp has been beating Slay regularly. This gives us confidence in deploying him against a Washington defense trying to figure out their DBs. Look for that Wentz connection on a deep ball or 2.
N’Keal Harry @4400 vs MIA
We cant always trust reports we get from camp but in this case, it’s worth a flyer. Pats are in full rebuild mode and Harry was injured for most of last year, being that he was taken with a 1 round pick, the Pats have to at least see what they have in Harry during a full season. Yes Edelman is still there and yes Cam loves to check down, but at 6’4 and with no tight end talent that jumps out, look for Cam to send at least a few red zone looks at Harry. I can see them linking up for fades in the red zone all day.
Tight End

Hurst in Bal never really had a chance to show off, instead hell be doing so with ATL. We know that in previous seasons, Matty Ice can support a star WR and a star TE. That will be the motive this season. I know he will be heavily played but even then, at his price its hard to go else where for value.
Jack Doyle @3600 vs JAX
Stack Alert!!! Doyle has been dealing with neck issues but word is that those may be behind him. With Ebron now gone, look for Doyle to be a target hog. He could be due for a breakout season and Rivers has shown he likes to target the TE position often. And again, the Jaguars defense isn’t what it once was and is due to give up a lot of points. Also, look at Mo Allie Cox @2600
Defense

They had a lot of players on defense opt-out, however, facing a 37 year old Fitzpatrick they look good. Fitzpatrick has always been bust or boom and he is as turn over prone as ever. There’s pick 6 upside here.
Ind @3000 vs JAX
Super Simple here, Jaguars are kicking the tires on several RBs and don’t expect much from that spot, look for them to throw a whole bunch. Indys defense has been good and may be in a position to grab a few turnovers as the Minshew tries too hard sometimes. Lac @2800 vs Cin: The transition from college QB to NFL QB has always been a tough one. Now with an even shorter preseason to learn and build rapport with, Borrow has a very tough task ahead of him. The Chargers have to try and pressure him and make him make mistakes. A defense vs a rookie QB is always a good play, this year in particular even more so.
