NHL Fanduel DFS Lineup Analysis 10/13/15

Back for another loaded Tuesday slate, with lots of good vibes coming from the weekend in NFL! You might see some familiar faces in my recommendations and lineup, and hopefully some fresh players as well! Let’s win that cash on Tuesday evening! Remember, these picks are for cash games, hit me up on Twitter if you need some GPP magic!

Left Wing (LW)

Jamie Benn (DAL) – $8,300

Benn won the Art Ross Trophy as the top point scorer in the NHL last season, and he’s off to a good start in the 2015-16 season to defend that title. A home matchup with Edmonton looms on Tuesday evening, and I think Benn can score a goal or two or at least contribute elsewhere. The Oilers are improving, but they’ll give up their fair share of goals this season and give their new goalie Cam Talbot headaches all year. You might be a little strapped to fit in Benn with a top-tier goalie, but it’s definitely doable. Give him a look!

Filip Forsberg (NSH) – $6,300

Forsberg has had a rather unimpressive two games to begin his sophomore season, but a date with the unimpressive Devils on Tuesday could be the spark the young Predator needs. I expect the Predators to put up a decent amount of goals Tuesday, and with Forsberg being on the top full strength and PP line he has a great shot to put up 5+ fantasy points. Also, once again I can’t complain about his cheap price tag.

Right Wing (RW)

Jaromir Jagr (FLA) – $5,100

His price is great, he exploded the last time I played him, and he has a good matchup against the hapless ‘Canes. There’s a lot to love with the wily veteran Jagr on Tuesday, as he plays on Florida’s top lines with their top skaters. I like veterans as cash plays, as they’ll almost certainly hit value by being a legit presence on the ice and not making many mistakes.

Kevin Hayes (NYR) – $4,500

Another great value winger to help squeeze in an elite goaltender on Tuesday is the Rangers’ Kevin Hayes. He is off to a nice start to the season on New York’s second line, with 1 goal and 2 assists. New York should be favored handily at home against the Jets, and expect Hayes to see some good action and hopefully snag a couple of points!

Center (C)

Eric Staal (DET) – $6,900

With Luongo potentially getting a breather Tuesday night, Staal could make for a great mid-range cash play on Tuesday evening. With an average of 4.7 fantasy points in his first two games, that’s exactly what you’re looking for from a cash play. Skating alongside the likes of Victor Rask and Kris Versteeg, Staal should have some opportunities to make some noise against the Panthers.

Connor McDavid (EDM) – $6,100

Something has to give with the #1 pick eventually right? McDavid has been held scoreless through his first two NHL games, but when he finally breaks out it’s going to be huge. Edmonton should be playing from behind most of the night, and they’ll probably look McDavid’s way to make some plays. The price tag is also awesome for such an elite prospect.

Defensemen (D)

P.K. Subban (MTL) – $6,600

I want to have some Canadiens exposure against the struggling Marc-Andre Fleury, and I looked no further than one of the most reliable offensive defensemen in the league. Subban has been rock solid through three games (averaging 5 FPPG), and he is the epitome of a cash game stud. At $6,600, he won’t break the bank so be sure to squeeze Subban into most of your lineups on Tuesday.

Drew Doughty (LA) – $5,500

Doughty prepared for the season by dropping some weight, but the fruits of that labor have yet to reveal themselves. Always touted as a top defenseman in the league, Doughty is due for a good performance and has a good matchup against the Canucks at home in Staples Center. Expect a bounceback performance from the former Stanley Cup Champion.

Goaltender (G)

Pekka Rinne (NSH) – $9,200

I’m going to have a man crush on Rinne for most of the season, as he is my #1 goalie in my fantasy hockey league. But not just for that reason, the dude is an elite netminder. The road game isn’t ideal, but he draws a matchup with the thus far offensively average New Jersey Devils. The Devils lost Jagr, and have no real offensive threats of note that have emerged. Expect Rinne to remain among the top goaltenders in the league on Tuesday, and hopefully he can reel in that coveted three point win.

Other options: Henrik Lundqvist (NYR), Jonas Hiller (CGY)
