NFL Player Comparison | Matt Forte

Similar to Forte, Spiller has the ideal size as a runningback to handle a high workload in the game and can be efficient doing it. What truly makes them special backs are their versatility and ability to affect an offense in the passing game.

With smooth routes and soft hands, it truly allows them to impact the game. If Spiller lands in the right situation where he gets high volume as both a runner and pass catcher he can be a fantasy star.

Summary

Spiller is a versatile running back with all of the abilities you look for in a lead back. He has the size-speed combination to run effectively between the tackles as well as outside. Spiller is a skilled pass catcher who can be moved around the formation showing the ability to be split out wide to the outside as well.

At Texas A&M Spiller was able to be productive on less than 200 attempts giving him fairly fresh legs going into college. As well he caught over 20 balls in both seasons there. From a fantasy perspective Spiller has all of the traits you want in an RB1 and should pan out to be one of the best players in fantasy drafts regardless of landing spot.
