Week 17 NFL DFS Spade/Fade(DraftKings)

The final Week of the regular season is here. Week 17 is one of the more interesting slates of the whole season. We need to pay attention as to who is actually expected to play. Some teams have nothing to play for and are not expected to play their starters. We need to make sure we are assured to get maximum value, hopefully we can attain as much information from coaches and beat writers around the league before kickoff.

SPADE
Julian Edelman $7,600 WR NE

Edelman is still Tom Brady’s favorite target, now that Josh Gordan is out for Week 17 against the woeful New York Jets, Brady will look his way even more so. This coupled with the fact that Gronk is no longer the dominant force he use to be, Edelman is the clear cut number one in the passing game this week aside for maybe James White. Julian Edelman is 13th best in the NFL in points per game since returning from suspension earlier this season. The Jets are at the bottom of many statistical team rankings this season including passing yards per game given up, 254.7 (26th), and points per game, 25.9 (28th). They also struggle defending slot receivers as they are allowing the second most yards and 12 touchdowns to the position.

FADE

Jarvis Landry $5,800 WR CLE

Related Articles

Really difficult to get excited about Jarvis Landry. He has failed to put up any kind of solid production of late. Week 13’s 103-yard-receiving performance was the last time Landry had a good stat line. Landry has failed to reach 50 yards receiving in seven of the Browns games this season. Week 17 against the number one ranked overall defense isn’t a good time to put your trust in Landry. Alshon Jeffrey and Robby Anderson at $5,700 and $5,600 respectively are better plays.

SPADE
Zach Ertz $6,700 TE PHI

PHILADELPHIA, PA – DECEMBER 03: Zach Ertz #86 of the Philadelphia Eagles runs with the ball against the Washington Redskins at Lincoln Financial Field on December 3, 2018 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)

A monster performance last week by both Ertz and Foles has the Eagles looking pretty good going into their matchup with the Washington Redskins. Ertz was targeted 16 times last week and finished the day with two touchdowns and 38 points en-route to a must-win victory over the Houston Texans.

FADE
Josh Adams $3,700 RB PHI

Adams could well have put himself in a bad spot going into the Eagles very important season finale versus the Redskins. Adams was already a part of a shared backfield with Wendell Smallwood and the ageless wonder,Darren Sproles, now he will have to earn the Eagles trust to give him carries as he put up a third consecutive dud of a game. This most recent performance was highlighted by a fumble in a crucial part of the game.
