Week 4 Buy Low, Sell High
Alright, fantasy football fans, it’s time for my latest GF2 buy low, sell high advice for Week 4. Week 3 wrapped up last night in Green Bay, ending another crazy week in the fantasy sports world. We witnessed a receiver in A.J. Green absolutely dominate the Ravens and a running back in C.J. Anderson who broke our hearts once again. There is a ton of guys in your league who you should either trade for or get rid of while you can. Luckily I’m here to give you a few players from each side of the fence to help you on your path to fantasy glory.
So, here we go everyone, time to get down to business!
Buy Low
Andrew Luck, QB Colts
Luck was considered one of the best fantasy options at quarterback coming into the 2015 season. It’s been a tough road for him so far but don’t be afraid to grab him if the price is right. So far this season, Luck has only thrown for 753 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions. He’s also only completed just 56 percent of his passes and owns a dreadful 37.78 QBR. All of these numbers will get better, though! He’s played tough defenses in the Bills and Jets, just wait until he really gets to play more AFC South teams. We’re talking about a player who threw for 4,761 yards and 40 touchdowns last season, he will get his game back on track very soon.
Marshawn Lynch, RB Seahawks
Lynch has been one of the most consistent fantasy running backs over the last four seasons. So far in 2015, things just haven’t been going great for Lynch, though. He left Sunday’s game versus Chicago with a hamstring injury, but Coach Pete Carroll has stressed that there is nothing to be alarmed of. In 2015, Lynch has rushed 38 times for just 128 yards and no touchdowns. He’s far off of his pace of 17 total touchdowns from 2014, but I have faith that the tide will turn in Seattle. The time is now to buy low on Lynch, so get some trades in the works.
Alshon Jeffery, WR Bears
Jeffery is one guy who I had high hopes for coming into the 2015 fantasy season. So far, the Bears as a whole have been a disappointment, but I feel that things will get better for Alshon. I don’t have a lot of hope for the Bears’ offense with Jimmy Clausen leading the way, however, when Jay Cutler returns in a few weeks things should get better. This season, Jeffery has played in just one game where he caught 5 balls for 78 yards and no touchdown. He’s on track to be back in Week 4 versus the Raiders, so now’s your chance to get him on your squad before his value rises.
Sell High
Joseph Randle, RB Cowboys
If you guys have followed me enough, you’ll know that I’m a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, but I have to be a realist here. Randle is a solid running back, but Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar will also see plenty of action every game. Also, not every Sunday will you see a guy get three rushing touchdowns in one game on a team who has a running back by committee. So far this season, Randle has rushed 48 times for 203 yards and three scores. These stats are all fine, however, most of them came in Sunday’s game against the Falcons. I say sell him high while you can before he falls flat once again.
Chris Johnson, RB Cardinals
Like the previous guy we discussed, you can’t judge a player from one game. Johnson had a fantastic fantasy day on Sunday against the 49ers, but I don’t expect another solid outing like that from him again. This year, he has rushed 52 times for 219 yards and two touchdowns. Like Randle, most of these stats came during his Week 3 matchup. I’m much higher on rookie running back David Jonhson, who should see a lot more snaps going forward.

Steve Smith, WR Ravens
I know, I know the guy has been putting up lucrative fantasy numbers for years, but it’s got to stop one of these days right? It seems like every single season Smith strings together a couple of amazing games and then just fizzles out mid-season. In 2015, he has caught 25 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns. Smith fans are going to be super high on him after his stellar Week 3 performance, this is the time where you should sell him while you can. I know it’s hard to get rid of a solid option, but there may be a better value guy for your playoff push in 2015.
