2021 NBA Comeback Players: Durant- Irving To Nets, Warriors Got Curry

While some of the NBA superstars have sweat enough to make impressive scoring statistics, others are looking to find a good start this season. The newest league of the NBA season was launched last December 22, 2020, and everyone is catching their breath to work in the shortest offseason in all NBA editions.

Today is the 5th Week of the regular season, and every team is slowly establishing their positions in the East and Westside. Some teams who were too weak last year have been excellent in the kick-off rounds, while big favorites seemed to slow down. Although this is an expectation due to player movements, some underdogs are soaring high coming from behind.

We’re talking about the comeback players who had missed the entirety of last season due to injuries. As these players fully recover, the NBA community expects to see the best teams jousting inside the court. To name some, here are the ten NBA players together with their spreads we’ll finally see again in the 2020-21 campaign.

Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets)

Watching Giannis Antekokoumpo and LeBron James earning the MVP Award and championship title, Durant is now finally back to enter the conversation. He suffered from an Achilles injury and got an extended recovery time to re-enter today’s NBA season. With his attendance with the Nets in the initial line-up, this team is ready and up for a championship mix.

John Wall (Houston Rockets)

Since the winter of 2018, John Wall, an All-Star point guard, has failed to show his finesse because of a leg injury. John Wall is back in the Houston Rockets after the Wizard had lost patience with him trading him for Russel Westbrook. Depending on whether the Wizards embrace him can either be a solution or the problem.

Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves)

The halt brought by the Coronavirus was experienced by Karl-Anthony Town after losing seven family members last summer. There can be no tougher situation than what Towns had experienced leading him to miss the season last year. Today, he’s back with the Timberwolves joining Anthony Edwards to inch towards the playoffs.

Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)

This three-time NBA champion had appeared only in five games last season. His left hand was broken, making his exit from the entire league. After going into the needed surgery and rest, Curry leads back the Warriors to the top-tiered NBA names this year.

DeMarcus Cousins (Houston Rockets)

Apart from John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins is also back for the Houston Rockets this season. He probably had the longest absence in the NBA league, which counts to three seasons that includes Golden State, New Orleans, and a championship slate with the Lakers. After three season miss outs, can Cousins still play as smoothly in the court as he did before?

Kyrie Irving (Brooklyn Nets)

Apart from his unquestionable leadership quality, Kyrie Irving is known as a game-changer to the NBA league. The Nets are lucky that Durant and Irving have the same recovery times, and they are now back to help the team soar high. Irving suffered from an injury due to a bump in the shoulder, limiting him to play only 20 games last NBA season.

Blake Griffin (Detroit Pistons)

At 31, Blake Griffin had two knee surgeries to recover from the issues he got last season. With this in mind, he was able to see 18 games last season and had missed the second-half for a full recovery. Griffin had an excellent scorecard averaging 24.5 points per game. If Griffin can sustain a long play inside the court, then the Pistons might slay a good fight this year.

Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls)

Zach LaVine is a certified offensive player in the NBA league, who averaged 25.5 points per game. Although he generated good numbers, he missed out on many games giving him inconsistent rankings. Today, he’s back for the Chicago Bulls, hoping to enter the play-ins in the next few months.

Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks)

If there’s a player who best leads in assists and scoring, it’s Trae Young. Trading Doncic for Young, the Hawks have a stable roster today. Trae will work directly with Rajon Rondo who is a star player for the Hawks. With these goodies, Atlanta Hawks might be one of those teams that can steal a march in the 2020-21 NBA campaign.

Takeaway

Top tiered player participation in the basketball team is highly needed to end up successful. However, uncontrollable circumstances like injuries happen in the most unexpected time, especially during an intense match-up. With the returning NBA talents playing the league this year, it would be another premier basketball season to look forward to.
