Minnesota Twins at Seattle Mariners

The Twins will kick things off at home against the Mariners and tout a record of 4-2. The Mariners look to get a winning record by sending out their best pitcher to the mound. Gonzales will get his second start of the season after getting lit up in his first start against the Giants. He lasted 6.0 innings 8 hits, 5 runs, 3 HRs, 2 BB, and only 2 Ks. Not a great way to start the season.

The Twins will also send out their best pitcher in Berrios. Berrios first start was completely different allowing zero hits, and had a whopping 14 Ks. Shocking he didn’t get the win.

The Twins are obviously the favorite in this spot. The Twins bats have been fairly reliable so far and will backed up by excellent pitching. The Mariners are overperforming so far which makes the Twins ML the play.

Kansas City Royals at Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox are surprisingly one game under .500 to start the season after analysts were raving about this team in the offseason. It’s still early, so there is plenty of time to turn things around. To get back on track, Lance Lynn will get the nod to head to the mound in his second start for his new ball club. In his first start of the season that lasted 4 2/3 innings, he gave up 6 hits, 2 runs, 2 BB and 6 Ks. Not terrible but also not enough to win.

The 3-2 Royals will send out 25-year-old pitcher Brad Keller. His first start of the season was just god awful to put lightly. The young pitcher let up 9 hits, 6 runs, 2 BB, 0 Ks through 1 1/3 innings of action. Poor fellow.

The White Sox are the favorites at home with a line of -165. The White Sox are the better team and Keller isn’t giving me a reason to take the Royals. The play here is White Sox ML.

Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros

The Astros have been on a tear this season with a record of 5-1. To help continue their streak, Javier will get the start at the mound after they won against the As in his last start even though Javier didn’t get the win. Unfortunate for him but he did let up 3 hits, 2 runs, 0 BBs, and 4 Ks. Pretty average first start.

The As finally get their first win of the season and improve to 1-6 on the season. Although they got swept in their opening series against the Astros, they will look to change this course and rack up some more wins. They start this by sending out Irvin who will seek revenge after getting lit up for 7 hits, 4 runs, 1 BB and only 2 Ks. The former Phillies pitcher will need to improve.

The Astros are the -160 favorite at home. Th As are streaky and I’m hoping they win this game to start a winning streak to follow their losing streak. As +140 is the way to go.
