CSGO: DFS – Breaking Down the Slate (DraftKings – 4/8/20)

Beam me up Scotty! Because I’ve got an article to write and you know it’s gotta be tight. Tighter than some skinny jeans on Jabba the Hut. Wait, I forgot does he even have legs? Ahh who cares because I’m so off track that you’re probably reading this like “Is this dude good?” Yes, I’m actually feeling dandy and randy and I’m ready to talk about tomorrow’s (4/8/20) CS:GO slate over on DraftKings which is bound to be another doozy.

If you read my article yesterday you would know that I went 2-1 with my picks thanks to FaZe clan making me look like an absolute fool. But whatever at least we picked the OG upset over Fnatic and provided y’all with the top fraggers.

But that was yesterday, so let’s clear that search history and get down to business.

Series #1: FNC (+120) v mouz (-150)

Well I guess it’s time to pick on Fnatic again which is something that we can make some real money doing. First off, the disrespect Fnatic showed today vs OG was terrible and it makes me even less confident in their team. They literally had like 4-5 knife kills and it made me utterly confused. How can you go around knifing your opponent yet lose the map? Like are you guys even taking this seriously? Obviously they have to be but it did not impress me at all as Fnatic constantly made terrible plays yet somehow managed to make them work based on skill and talent alone. But that will not work vs mousesports and let me tell you why. Two words: ropz & frozen. These guys have been absolutely insane so far throughout the ESL Pro League and it shows by their prices which are $8,800 and $8,600 respectively. But they are worth every penny because 1) mousesports is going to have a massive GLA after they dumpster Fnatic and 2) their recent performances have been so consistent. Let’s take a look: ropz = 80.1 DraftKings Points per series over his last 4 & frozen = 80.825 DraftKings Points per series over his last 4. Nuts, absolutely nuts. Oh and if you want some value look no further than karrigan (46.93 DraftKings Points per series over last 3 @ only $5,000 on DraftKings).

Series #2: NaVi (-150) v FaZe (+120)

These odds should be the other way around to be honest and it’s because of the recent form of NaVi. Their entry fragger (Boombl4) has a KDA of 53-98-22 over his last two series. That’s almost 100 deaths over 5 total maps with only 53 kills… and he is the entry fragger/in-game leader! The only guy who has showed any type of fight has been s1mple ($9,200) but his last series vs mousesports was abysmal and it seemed like the team was just too heavy for him to carry. Sure electronic and perfecto picked it up in map 2 vs mousesports to salvage their DFS scores but honestly it was too little too late for NaVi. And let’s not forget they struggled to beat OG the series before and only won thanks to 75 kills from s1mple. I know FaZe just got abused by Astralis but if you watch the game you will realize it was really only map 2 that was bad and it was mainly because it was Astralis’s map pick and it looked like they had a multitude of strategies that were beautiful on the T side. The talent on FaZe Clan is so strong with NiKo, coldzera, broky, rain and olofmeister. It’s literally an all-star team and I am betting on them to bounce back strong tomorrow. The plays I would have in my DFS lineup would literally just be Rain ($6,400) and NiKo ($9,000) as they have been on fire as of late.

Series #3: OG (+270) v A (-360)

Here is the stack we want in all of our lineups tomorrow. And no it’s not OG. It’s Astralis who is looking really strong after beating FaZe 2-0 today. And we really get blessed by the DFS gods tomorrow as Astralis isn’t even the highest priced stack on the slate even though they are by far the heaviest betting favorite on the slate. This discrepancy is something we need to leap on which is why I an recommending a full 3-person stack out of Astralis. But who? Dupreeh ($8,000) has put up 75.5 DraftKings Points per series over his last 2 so he’s a lock. Xyp9x ($6,200) had 94.0 DraftKings Points in his last series vs FaZe which was today, he’s a lock and he’s way too cheap. Magisk ($6,600) has put up 71.0 DraftKings Points per series over his last 2 and again the price is way too low. I mean these performances I just listed were vs FNC and FaZe who are both top 10 teams in the world. So what do you think is going to happen when OG comes in with the #24 world ranking? It’s going to be even worse y’all, which is why Astralis is my top overall stack on tomorrow’s CS:GO slate on DraftKings.
