QB
Lamar Jackson (BAL) $8,500: Take the $700 saved from passing on Patrick Mahomes – who faces a tougher matchup – and invest it in another position. Jackson lit the league on fire with his passing this season, and in Week 2 reminded the world he possesses elite rushing ability. He’s a lock against the Chiefs, who’ve allowed the third-most overall FD points to opponents dating back to the beginning of 2018. FanDuel Sportsbook pegs this as the highest total matchup (52) on the slate. A potential Ravens stack to consider: Jackson/Mark Ingram/Marquise Brown.
Dak Prescott (DAL) $8,400: Tied with Mahomes and Jackson for the league lead with seven TD passes, Prescott also ranks third in passing yards with 674. He draws a Dolphins defense that’s allowed the most FD points this season by a wide margin. Opponents have scored 123.11 FD points against them; the Redskins gave up the second-most FD points during that span (107.38).
RB
Saquon Barkley (NYG) $9,200: Yet to have a blowup game this season, the Bucs look ripe for Barkley’s picking. He’s played 87-percent of the offensive snaps, which ranks No. 3 among RBs per Football Outsiders, and is averaging a robust 7.8 YPC (No. 2). Against the Bucs in 2018, Barkley totaled 152 scrimmage yards and three TDs. Since the start of last season, Tampa Bay allows an average of 23.23 FD points per game to opposing backs.
Dalvin Cook (MIN) $8,300: Priced well below Barkley and Christian McCaffrey, the NFL’s leading rusher doesn’t deserve this kind of disrespect. The Vikings stud received 20 carries in each of his first two games while scoring three rushing TDs. Among RBs, only Austin Ekeler boasts more total FD points than Cook (56.7-51.6). The Vikings rank No. 4 in rush attempts (65) and Cook garnered 41 of those carries.
WR
Marquise Brown (BAL) $6,100: Hollywood ranks No. 3 among WRs in FD points per game (20.65) but saw a nominal price increase ($400) after a modest Week 2. Trending in the right direction, Brown saw his snap share increase from 15.3-percent to 67.1-percent, and also ran 21 more routes and saw eight more targets (13). It’s clear the Ravens want to feature him, and his potential this week in what figures to be a shootout against KC can’t be ignored.
Kenny Golladay (DET) $7,000: He ranks among the most targeted pass-catchers in the league (19) and averages 16.95 FP points per game. Dating back to the beginning of 2018, the Eagles give up the third-most FD points per game (35.70) to opposing receivers. On top of that, the Eagles secondary is banged-up heading into this contest.
TE
Darren Waller (OAK) $5,900: Waller remains underpriced, ranking in the top-10 for snaps (62) and targets (15) among TEs and sporting an 87-percent catch rate. He leads the Raiders in targets (15) and is second in receiving yards (133). Playing Waller allows gamers to pay up at other positions and is a great path to Barkley exposure. He hasn’t found the end zone yet but should find paydirt soon.
D/ST
Dallas ($5,000): Lock in the Cowboys defense against the hapless Dolphins and don’t fret over paying up for a D/ST again. The Patriots scored 37 FD points against Miami, which returned 7.6 x value and earned the highest overall total posted in Week 2. The Dolphins rank dead last in turnover differential (-6) and will start Josh Rosen.
