DFS MLB DraftKings Lineup Advice for 6/14

For tonight’s “main slate”, DFS players have a deep schedule consisting of 13 games from which to set their lineups. Out of the 26 starting pitchers, only three have averaged 18.0 FPTS/game or more for the season. Each of these pitchers is appropriately priced as one of the three highest salaries on the board, so owners will need to look elsewhere for potential added value.

Pitchers

Top-tier

Tyler Glasnow(Rays) $10700 @ White Sox 5-2 record with a 2.57 ERA/0.93 WHIP. In addition to these outstanding peripherals, Glasnow has accumulated 117 strikeouts over 84 innings.

Lance Lynn(White Sox) $9900 vs Rays although I rarely choose to use opposing pitchers, Lynn and Glasnow are simply the best two pitchers of this slate. Lynn is 7-1 with a 1.23 ERA/0.88 WHIP, and has recorded 72 strikeouts over 65 innings.

Others I Like

Adam Wainwright(Cardinals) $8800 vs Marlins In three of his last four home starts, Wainwright has scored at least 25.4 FPTS or more. For the season, Wainwright is averaging 16.5 FPTS/game and has a 1.14 WHIP.

Vladimir Gutierrez(Reds) $6900 @ Brewers in Gutierrez’s first three starts, he has given the Reds a much needed spark to the rotation. He has recorded a 2-1 record with a 2.65 ERA/1.12 WHIP(16.8 FPT average). Despite the tough matchup, I am willing to take the gamble on Gutierrez at this price tag.

Top-tier

J.T. Realmuto(C-Phillies) $4500 @ Dodgers Has scored at least seven FPTS or more in four out of his last six games. Realmuto has a .289 batting average, with six home runs and 26 RBI’s on the season.

Vladimir Guerrero JR(Blue Jays) $5500 @ Red Sox .344 BA/21 HR/55 RBI’s

Ryan McMahon(2B-Rockies) $4500 @ Padres .252 BA/15 HR/38 RBI’s

Fernando Tatis JR(SS-Padres) $6100 @ Rockies averaging 12.0 FPTS/game on the season, I would make all necessary adjustments to fit Tatis in my lineup, despite his high salary. He has a .279 batting average, with 19 home runs and 44 RBI’s.

Jean Segura(2B-Phillies) $3600 @ Dodgers

Stacks

My two favorite stacks for tonight are the Blue Jays and the Reds. The Blue Jays visit the Red Sox(Nathan Eovaldi), while the Reds travel to play the Brewers(Eric Lauer). Eovaldi has a 4.11 ERA/1.29 WHIP on the season, while Lauer has produced a 4.82 ERA/1.39 WHIP. Despite facing very good teams on the road, I am willing to take a chance on the road underdogs at the price points that have been set.

Having played fantasy football for 27 years and fantasy baseball for ten, I began writing three articles per week and doing a weekly fantasy football DFS pod “Cash Crusade” for FFAffair.Com in 2020. With my living donor kidney transplant on 8/11 and my wife’s double mastectomy on 3/8 behind us, I am looking forward to being the host of Cash Crusade in the fall. The pod will be used as a platform to highlight the human spirit in all of us and a source of inspiration for those going through difficult times. In our spare time, we love to travel(especially the beach) and attend live sporting events.
