DFS MLB DraftKings Lineup Advice for 6/18

The slate for tonight, June 18th, consists of a complete fifteen game schedule which is loaded with front end of the rotation type pitchers. There are eight pitchers to choose from who average at least 17.0 FPTS/game, with four of these pitchers posting 20 FPTS/game or more on the season.

Pitchers

Top-tier

Carlos Rodon(White Sox) $10800 @ Astros Rodon has a 5-2 record with a 1.93 ERA/0.87 WHIP and is averaging 27.6 FPTS/game. He has also accumulated 85 strikeouts over 60 innings. On this night of stars, I will make Rodon my top choice.

Robbie Ray(Blue Jays) $9300 @ Orioles Ray has 23.9 FPTS or more in five of his last six starts and has recorded 92 strikeouts over 70.1 innings on the season. Although his peripherals(3.46 ERA/1.11 WHIP) are not dominant, I will take a chance on Ray.

As mentioned earlier, there are so many good options for this pitching slate. As potential top salary replacements for Rodon, DFS players could select from the following: 1)Trevor Bauer(Dodgers $10600 @ Diamondbacks); and 2)Corbin Burnes(Brewers $10200 @ Rockies). Bauer has struggled recently with four straight games of 20 FPTS or less, while Burnes has to travel to face the Rockies.

James Kaprielian(A’s) $9100 @ Yankees has racked up 35 strikeouts over 32.1 innings, while amassing a 3-1 record(2.51 ERA/1.18 WHIP).

Jose Berrios(Twins) $8500 @ Rangers 7-2 with a 3.49 ERA/1.09 WHIP.

Erick Fedde(Nationals) $7500 vs Mets Fedde is the top bargain play on the slate. Has scored at least 24.8 FPTS or more in three out of his last five starts.

Stacks

As mentioned previously, this is a very pitching oriented slate. The Red Sox, Brewers and Dodgers are my three favorite stacks as I typically try to fade hitters facing very difficult match ups. All three teams will be on the road. The Red Sox play the Royals(Jackson Kowar), the Brewers face the Rockies(Antonio Senzatela) and the Dodgers meet the Diamondbacks(Caleb Smith).

Although Smith possesses the best peripherals(3.61 ERA/1.31 WHIP), he has proven to be hittable. Both Senzatela(4.86 ERA/1.42 WHIP) and Kowar(36.00 ERA/6.50 WHIP) are very exploitable matchups.
