DFS MLB DraftKings Lineup Advice for 6/25

For tonight, June 25th, DFS players will have a very competitive thirteen game slate from which to build their lineups. Similar to Thursday, there will be very few true “aces” that toe the rubber, so hitting value will be important.

Pitchers

Top-tier

Carlos Rodon(White Sox) $10700 vs Mariners averaging 27.4 FPTS/game on the season, Rodon carries a 1.86 ERA/0.87 WHIP into the game. In addition, Rodon is also averaging 13 strikeouts/nine innings. He will be my top pick for this slate.

Yusei Kikuchi(Mariners) $9200 @ White Sox although I don’t like to choose both sides of a pitching match up, Kikuchi has merit of his own. Kikuchi has a 4-3 record, with a 3.46 ERA/1.04 WHIP on the season. He can be used as a contrarian play if salary cap space is needed.

Others I Like

Framber Valdez(Astros) $10200 @ Tigers over Valdez’s five starts on the season, he has a 4-0 record with a 1.67 ERA/0.99 WHIP. He is averaging 22.8 FPTS/game, and has registered two games with at least 30 FPTS or more.

Vladimir Gutierrez(Reds) $7300 vs Braves despite a rough outing his last time out vs the Padres, Gutierrez is still viable as a price play for this slate. He has a 3-1 record, with a 3.88 ERA/1.32 WHIP.

Top-tier

Gary Sanchez(C-Yankees) $4600 @ Red Sox .240 BA/13 HR/40 RBI’s on the season. Sanchez has had nine games out of his last fifteen with 14.0 FPTS or more

Jared Walsh(1B-Angels) $4800 @ Rays not being fond of the first basemen at less expensive salaries, Walsh is my preferred value play. He has a .282 batting average on the season, with 18 home runs and 52 RBI’s.

Jake Cronenworth(2B-Padres) $4800 vs Diamondbacks .284 BA/11 HR/30 RBI’s. Cronenworth, who averages 7.8 FPTS/game on the season, has produced at least 14 FPTS or more in six out of his last 8 games. Cronenworth is only the ninth highest salary for second basemen on this card.

Xander Bogaerts(SS-Red Sox) $5k vs Yankees t .324 BA/13 HR/43 RBI’s

Manny Machado(3B-Padres) $5k vs Diamondbacks .258 BA/12 HR/48 RBI’s. Machado has scored at least 12 FPTS or more in six out of his last eight games.

Shohei Ohtani(OF-Angels) $5800 @ Rays .265 BA/23 HR/54 RBI’s

Teoscar Hernandez(OF-Blue Jays) $4700 vs Orioles .299 BA/10 HR/43 RBI’s

Kyle Schwarber(OF-Nationals) $4500 @ Marlins .240 BA/19 HR/45 RBI’s

Others I Like

Sean Murphy(C-A’s) $4k @ Giants

Tony Kemp(2B-A’s) $3400 @ Giants has scored at least six FPTS in ten out his last eleven games.

Javy Baez(SS-Cubs) $4k @ Dodgers

Maikel Franco(3B-Orioles) $3300 @ Blue Jays

Bryan Reynolds(OF-Pirates) $3100 @ Cardinals

Kyle Tucker(OF-Astros) $4200 @ Tigers

Alex Verdugo(OF-Red Sox) $4200 vs Yankees

STACKS

My two favorite stacks on this slate are the Padres and the Angels. The Padres host the Diamondbacks(Corbin Martin), while the Angels visit the Rays(Josh Fleming). While Fleming’s peripherals are solid(3.59 EDA/1.07 WHIP), he is only averaging five innings pitched per contest. Martin, on the other hand, has posted anything but solid numbers. His 8.62 ERA/2.04 ERA shows that he has proven to be very exploitable.

Having played fantasy football for 27 years and fantasy baseball for ten, I began writing three articles per week and doing a weekly fantasy football DFS pod “Cash Crusade” for FFAffair.Com in 2020. With my living donor kidney transplant on 8/11 and my wife’s double mastectomy on 3/8 behind us, I am looking forward to being the host of Cash Crusade in the fall. The pod will be used as a platform to highlight the human spirit in all of us and a source of inspiration for those going through difficult times. In our spare time, we love to travel(especially the beach) and attend live sporting events.
