For tonight, June 28th, DFS owners have a solid nine game slate to select their lineups from. Due to having five pitchers whose salaries range from $9100 to $10800, and few solid value pitching plays, this slate is one of the more contentious slates that DFS players will have to deal with. I will provide several inexpensive hitting options to try and offset this high cost of pitching.
Pitchers
Top-Tier
Freddy Peralta(Brewers) $10500 vs Cubs averaging 22.4 FPTS/game, Peralta has a 7-2 record, with a 2.11 ERA/0.86 WHIP. Peralta has tallied 31.3 FPTS or more in three out of his last five games, and I will aim for that upside in making him my favorite pitcher of this stack.
Lucas Giolito(White Sox) $10300 vs Royals averaging 20.3 FPTS/game, Giolito’s power numbers(110 strikeouts over 87.2 innings) will always keep him in contention to be one of the top pitchers on the slate. In addition, Giolito has a 3.80 ERA/1.10 WHIP.
Others I Like
Zack Greinke(Astros) $9800 vs Orioles 8-2 record with a 3.56 ERA/1.12 WHIP. Despite this solid stat line, Greinke is only averaging 15.7 FPRS FPTS/game.
Anthony Desclafani(Giants) $7300 @ Dodgers despite the tough matchup, Desclafani will be my top value play on the card. He has an 8-2 record with a 2.77 ERA/1.00 WHIP on the season.

Stacks
My two favorite stacks on this slate are the Cardinals and the Astros. As home standing favorites, the Cardinals will face the Diamondbacks(Jake Faria), while the Astros take on the Orioles(Thomas Eshelman). Both Faria(4.50 ERA/1.00 WHIP) and Eshelman(7.27 ERA/1.50 WHIP) have proven to be favorable match ups to varying degrees.
