Another Tuesday which means i’m back with another NBA DFS DraftKings lineup advice article coming to you from Goingfor2! We have a nice 6 game slate to breakdown and as usual, this is a first look article thats purpose is to give you a good foundation to start your research and build lineups. I’ll go through each position and give you a top, mid-tier and value play as well as a fade at each position.

Make sure you’re following the news up until lock as things are always changing right up until tip off of each game (Anyone who rostered Nuggets or Pistons tonight knows exactly what I mean). Players will get ruled out, games could get postponed due to covid and value will surely change from now until the slate locks. Fantasy Labs is a great follow on twitter for all your up to the minute news and be sure to follow me and goingfor2 as well. @ev_ritt3 @GoingFor_2

With that being said…

Let’s go ahead and dive into tomorrow’s slate!

Be sure to check out today’s NBA Spreadsheet with projections. You can find it here.

Guards

Top Play | Russell Westbrook $9,100 POR @ (WAS)

Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Dame time in this spot but i’ll gladly take the $1,600 savings and go down to Russell Westbrook where I can get similar upside. Russ is coming off a game where he went absolute bananas, posting a stat line of 41 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assist ending up with a stellar 73.5 fantasy points on DraftKings.

This game has a 240.5 point total so you can expect plenty of points and it’s a nice potential game stack. Russ at $9,100 is just to cheap and i’ll start a lot of those stacks with him tomorrow night.

Mid-tier | Fred VanVleet $7,400 (TOR) @ ORL

VanVleet is coming off a disappointing performance last game which also happened to be against the Magic. It was his worst performance of the season so far and I expect we’ll get a bounce back game here.

Prior to this off game, VanVleet put up over 45 fantasy points in his last 3 games. On the season he’s averaging 36.9 minutes per game and he’s been a fantasy point per minute producer. At $7,400 I think VanVleet can easily return 5 to 6 times his value.

Value | De’Anthony Melton $4,500 (MEM) @ IND

Last game Melton finished with 35.3 fantasy points in 32 minutes and he’s put up an even better outing in tonight’s game in only 27 minutes, finishing with 40.75 fantasy points. He’s playing great basketball right now and he’s not just scoring the rock.

Tonight he grabbed 7 boards, had 5 dimes, 2 steals and added a block into the mix topping it off with 5 threes made. Of course he isn’t going to make 5 threes a game but at at only $4,500 and his current multi-category production i’ll continue to roster him until he cools off.

Fade | James Harden $10,900 LAC @ (BKN)

It’s hard to fade an elite player like James Harden especially on only a 6 game slate where you need to expand your player pool but in DFS you have to take stands. Sometimes those stands make you look like a genius or an absolute idiot but thats the beauty of it.

Now by all means if you’re mass multi entering you’re undoubtedly going to have a percentage of James Harden but if you’re mostly a single entry or three max player like myself then I believe he is a viable fade on tomorrow’s slate.

Brooklyn will have all of the “Big Three” starting tomorrow (as of now) and Harden is not only the most expensive of the trio, he’s also the most expensive player on the slate. When you have Kyrie Irving ($8,800) and Kevin Durant ($10,100) on the same team, any of them can be the primary scorer at any given night. I just can’t pay that much of a premium for Harden unless one of the other two superstars on his team are sitting and I know he’s going to see an uptick in usage. Fingers crossed!

Others I Like Damian Lillard $10,700, Stephen Curry $9,600, Malcolm Brogdon $7,900, Ja Morant $7,500, Kyle Lowry $7,300, Cole Anthony $5,500

Forwards

Top Play | Jayson Tatum $8,600 (BOS) @ GS

Tatum has picked up right where he left off after missing significant time due to his bout with COVID-19. Last game against a stingy Lakers defense he managed to put up 30 points and 9 rebounds.

Tatum has been a 1.2 fantasy point per minute producer on the year and he will be facing a fast paced Golden State team tomorrow. The Warriors are fourth in the NBA with 106.8 possessions per game so Tatum should see more touches than he normally does which in turn lead to more opportunities to score fantasy points.

Mid-tier | Pascal Siakam $7,700 (TOR) @ ORL

Siakam just put up his second best fantasy game of the year with a 30 point, 10 rebound double-double in which he finished with 55.5 fantasy points. After that outstanding performance he has only seen a $100 salary increase and I will be going right back to the well.

Aaron Gordon (left ankle sprain) has already been ruled out for this game depleting an already middle of the pack defensive unit for the Orlando Magic even more. I think Siakam once again, will have no problem scoring and rebounding the ball tomorrow. The Toronto Raptors are just to cheap across the board in my opinion and I actually like stacking VanVleet with Siakam while running it back with Nikola Vucevic ($8,200) in the same game.

Value | Yuta Watanabe $3,700 (TOR) @ ORL

I told you I really like this game! Watanabe has been more than serviceable for the Toronto Raptors in the absence of OG Anunoby (strained calf) who could miss all of next week so he should continue to see minutes.

He brings tons of energy to the floor, he pitches in across all categories and you can tell he’s a guy that’s trying to take full advantage of his opportunity. This is a large field GPP dart throw that I like a lot better if Normal Powell ($6,400) is ruled out again but what the heck, why not?

Fade | Jerami Grant $7,000 (DET) @ UTA

His price tag is dropping just low enough to start being intriguing again but i’m still going to take the wait and see approach with Grant.

He started the year off tearing up the league and there was a time when i couldn’t get enough of this guy in my lineups but I think that time has come and gone. He’s starting to cool off, scoring less than 20 real points his last two games and not logging great peripheral stats either.

I think his price is just low enough to still make people bite but I will be coming in completely under the field on Jerami Grant tomorrow.

Others I Like Domantas Sabonis $8,700 Jaylen Brown $7,800, Jeremy Lamb $5,400, Terrence Ross $5,300, Bruce Brown $4,300

Centers

Top Play | Nikola Vucevic $8,200 TOR @ (ORL)

I love this price tag for Vucevic and with Aaron Gordon (left ankle sprain) already ruled out most of the Magic’s offense will come from him. The Raptors allow the second most field goals in the league and won’t have an answer for Vuce tomorrow. He should get plenty of high percentage shots and could very easily put up a double-double.

On the year he’s averaging 22.6 points and 10.9 rebounds. Nikola Vucevic is to cheap for tomorrow’s slate and it’s going to be hard for me to get away from a guy averaging a double-double on the year at just $8,200.

Mid-tier | Enes Kanter $6,900 (POR) @ WAS

Since Jusuf Kurkic (fractured wrist) went down Kanter has played big minutes and put up great numbers. CJ McCollum (hairline fracture) is also out at the moment so most of Portland’s offense has been coming from Damian Lillard ($10,700) and Enes Kanter ($6,900).

The Washington Wizards are atrocious against big men so Kanter should be able to score at will tomorrow. I have him projected for right around 30 minutes, maybe more if this one stays close. Any time Kanter has seen more than 30 minutes in a game this year he’s put up over 35 fantasy points with one of those games being a season high 51.8.

This is definitely a game I will be targeting with a 240.5 total and plenty of touches to go Kanter’s way.

Value | Moritz Wagner $3,800 POR @ (WAS)

Mo Wagner only played 21 minutes last game due to still being on a minute restriction but still managed to put up 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks and a 30.3 fantasy point night against the Brooklyn Nets.

He should continue to see increased minutes as his minute restriction begins to be lifted and will be one of the go to big men for the Wizards after Thomas Bryant‘s season-ending injury.

After last games performance I could see Scott Brooks giving Wagner some more playing time which makes that $3,800 dollar price tag very intriguing.

Fade | Jeff Green $5,400 LAC @ (BKN)

Jeff Green just put up his best performance he will most likely put up all season, finishing with 43.3 fantasy points. I had exactly 0% of him then and I will have 0% tomorrow as well.

He’s the 5th or 6th option on this offense depending on the night and though he’s getting the minutes his price tag has come up to much for me to even consider rostering him.

I’ll let the people game log watching play him tomorrow and find value elsewhere once some opens up.

Others I Like Rudy Gobert $7,200, Daniel Theis $5,000, Mason Plumlee $5,000, Aron Baynes $4,300
