Welcome once again to the my Monday DFS NBA DraftKings column. Hopefully everyone had a great week last week. We have decent six-game slate to look at tonight, and as always, I write this column Sunday night, so there will be some news I’m not privy to yet. But here are my favorite plays as of Sunday night…

| Half-Court Shot | Otherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player. |
| Blocked Shot | A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.” |
**Main Slate
Guards
Nothing But Net | LeBron James (LAL) $10,400 vs. WAS
This may be the first time all season I’ve recommended James in this column. With no Anthony Davis, the Lakers on a 2-game losing streak, and the Wizards coming to town, James is out to put it on the Wizards. Wizards are the fastest paced team in the NBA and are bottom six in defensive efficiency. Luckily the Wizards can score points to keep it close enough that James will have to play his normal allotment of minutes.
Dunk | Chris Paul (PHO) $7,800 vs. POR
Only three teams are worse than Portland versus the point guard position, as they give up 51.20 DK points per game on average. They are also second to only the Sacramento Kings in defensive efficiency, giving up nearly 116 points over 100 possessions. Granted he was with the Thunder last season, but in his last game against the Blazers he put up 46.5 DK points.
Half-Court Shot | Kendrick Nunn (MIA) $5,700 @ OKC
Nunn is only a play if Tyler Herro is out. Nunn ballad out after Herro went down in their last game to the tune of 45.8 DK points. The Thunder are a middle-of-the road matchup for him, but volume will make him a good play if Herro is out.
Blocked Shot | Damian Lillard (POR) $10,900 @ PHO
Man, I love Damian Lillard, but paying nearly 11k for a scoring point guard is risky. He almost has to score 35-plus to hit value. Can’t do it.
Now if he goes out and scores 50, I’ll chop up my first statement above and post it on Twitter as me saying, “Man, I love Damian Lillard.”

Forwards
Nothing But Net | Jimmy Butler (MIA) $9,200 @ OKC
Butler and “triple-double” isn’t something you put in the same sentence very often, but he had three straight Trip-Dubs before dropping 24/8/5 in a victory over the Lakers. At $9,200 with 50 DK point upside, I like Butler in this game.
Dunk | Kyle Kuzma (LAL) $6,700 vs. WAS
Anthony Davis isn’t playing, we know that. As long a Kuzma plays (listed as questionable) and start, he should be in for a big game. As mentioned many times in this column over the last few weeks, the Wizards play fast and are terrible on defense. Just what Kuzma needs.
Half-Court Shot | Talen Horton-Tucker (LAL) $3,700 vs. WAS
Who? Yeah, when he popped up on my value list in my early projections, I thought I transposed some numbers wrong. But, after a closer look, THT isn’t a terrible option. Too soon to give him an acronym for his name? Probably. At $3,700, he is getting 17-25 minutes of late, and has put up respectable numbers in his limited time. There is a good chance there could be some junk-time in this game, and THT could easily hit value.
Blocked Shot | Kristaps Porzingis (DAL) $8,500 vs. MEM
Just too rich for my blood tonight. $8,500 doesn’t leave much room for upside.

- Kyle Anderson $6,600 @ DAL
Centers
Nothing But Net | Bam Adebayo (MIA) $8,800 @ OKC
Tonight’s one of those nights I wish we didn’t have to roster a center, just give us an extra flex. However, if DraftKings is going to force me to take a center, I’ll take the one with the best chance at 50-plus DK points.
Dunk | Jonas Valanciunas (MEM) $7,200 @ DAL
Only four teams are worse than the Mavericks at defending a true center — they give up 55.95 DK points to centers on average. And a night where the center position is ugly, a good matchup is a great place to start.
Half-Court Shot | DeMarcus Cousins (HOU) $6,400 vs. CHI
Cousins is probably the cheapest center I will roster tonight, barring news. I can only assume he plays, despite being told that he will likely be traded. I guess the Rockets heard Draymond Green’s rant?
Blocked Shot | All of them except the three I mentioned
