Guards

Top Play | Damian Lillard $10,400 POR @ DEN

There is a ton of options at guard tomorrow but I’m going to continue to be partial towards Damian Lillard until his counterpart in CJ McCollum (left mid-foot fracture) returns. Dame just moved up into the top three in MVP votes and rightfully so, the man has been an absolute stud all season. He’s a 1.4 per minute fantasy point producer while averaging 50.5 DK points on the year. He hasn’t put up less than 60 DK points his last three games, putting up 79 against the Pelicans last week. Like I mentioned, there’s so many viable options at the position tomorrow but I like my chances with Dame Time while he continues to be a one man show lighting up the scoreboard night in and night out.

Mid-tier | Tyrese Haliburton $6,500 SAC @ BKN

This game should be a popular one to target tomorrow due to it being fantasy gold! Both teams play little to no defense and score a ton. I’ll have most of my exposure in this game and Haliburton coming off his best performance of his young career will be a player I will roster a lot of. He’s a do-it-all guard who participates in all facets of the game, on the year he’s averaging 12.4 points, 5.2 assist, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game this season. Ownership is the key to the castle like always but I’m hoping Haliburton’s stays low tomorrow with such a big slate, if so I’ll be over the field.

Value | Tim Hardaway Jr. $4,500 BOS @ DAL

At the moment Hardaway Jr. is the chalk of tonight’s slate at $4,400 and he’s put up 20 points and 25 DK points so far with the game in the early parts of the third quarter. Granted Kristaps Porzingis (back) sat the game out so he did get a usage bump but he’s still to cheap for tomorrow’s slate which so far doesn’t have much value. I’m willing to take my shots on a streaky shooter who sees almost 30 minutes a game at only $4,500.

Fade | Russell Westbrook $9,800 WAS @ LAC

The Clippers are a good defensive unit and Westbrook is to expensive for my liking tomorrow on a 9 game slate with so many options at guard. I would much rather go down to Trae Young for a $100 bucks cheaper ($9,700), isn’t going against a top 5 defense in points allowed and doesn’t have to share the rock with another prolific scorer like Bradley Beal ($9,500).

Top Play | Giannis Antetokounmpo $11,000 MIN @ MIL

Feel like I’ve wrote this guy up a time or two this year already but I don’t know how you get away from him right now, he’s putting up monster numbers and he’s a fantasy darling. He’s an automatic double-double and a threat to put up a triple double on any given night when he’s dishing out the rock. He’s put up over 70 DK points in 3 of his last five games and one of the 2 games that he missed the 70 point mark he still managed to put up 67.5 DK points with 38 real points and 18 rebounds. Whenever the “FREAK” is on a slate there’s a good chance he ends up in the optimal lineup.

Mid-tier | Marvin Bagley III $5,900 SAC @ BKN

I like this play a lot more if Harrison Barnes (Foot) $6,100 is out again so keep an eye on that news but either way Bagley has been playing well lately. Now he gets to go up against the 28th overall ranked defense who don’t have much size outside of DeAndre Jordan ($5,500) so when Jordan is off the court, Bagley should be able to get to the rim and grab plenty of boards. He’s coming off a quieter last game than we have become accustomed too but he’s a fantasy point per minute guy on the year and I think we’ll get some good output here against a Brooklyn Nets team who could care a less about playing any defense.

Value | Daniel Theis $4,800 BOS @ DAL

On the year Theis is averaging 24.8 minutes per game but in his last two starts he’s played 33 and 39 minutes so if he continues to see around 30 minutes a game I will absolutely take a few shots at him tomorrow. The Mavericks give up a lot of rebounds which should help him pay off that $4,800 dollar price tag without having to score many points.

Fade | Rui Hachimura $6,000 WAS @ LAC

I can’t pay a $6K price tag for Rui tomorrow going against a good defensive unit in the Clippers. There’s just so many better options in this price range than a guy who is a decent scorer but doesn’t get many boards or do much of anything else. Even if I have exactly $6,000 left I’ll pay down and leave salary on the table before I roster Rui Hachimura tomorrow.

Centers

Top Play | Nikola Vucevic $10,200 DET @ ORL

It’s going to be hard to get away from Nikola Jokic ($10,800) and Joel Embiid ($10,600) tomorrow but I’m going to go with the most likely lower owned pivot with similar upside in Nikola Vucevic tomorrow at ($10,200). He’s averaging 1.4 fantasy points per minute and 48.3 fantasy points per game this season, he’s doing it all for his team and I expect that to continue tomorrow against a Pistons team that doesn’t defend big men well. He’s put up a double-double in his last 4 games and the Detroit Pistons rank 22nd in rebounds allowed. I hope the increased price tag keeps his ownership suppressed so I can come in over the field on Vuc and gain some leverage.

Mid-tier | Jarrett Allen $7,500 ATL @ CLE

Since Allen has taken over as the primary Center for the Cavaliers he hasn’t disappointed. He hasn’t scored less than 30 fantasy points in his last 6 games and while tomorrow’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks want be a cake walk he has showed to be pretty much matchup proof. He’s went up against the Joker twice already this season logging 36 DK points the first game and 43.5 DK points the second matchup. If Allen can put up those efficient outings against a potential league MVP than I don’t doubt his abilities tomorrow going up against the likes of Clint Capela ($7,900). Jarret Allen has a double-double in 5 of his last 6 games and has established himself as the man this Cavaliers offense/defense runs through. I will keep plugging him lineups while he’s at a discount because if this type of play continues his price tag will do nothing but increase.

Value | DeAndre Jordan $5,500 SAC @ BKN

Jordan gets the easiest defensive matchup he will see all year tomorrow night against the Sacramento Kings and he’s coming off his best game of the season where he logged a 13 point 11 rebound double-double. As bad as the Kings are on defense they do have a lot of size so depending on the lineup they decide to run it could force Brooklyn to play DeAndre Jordan big minutes again. I have Jordan projected for right around 28 minutes and at $5,500 with a game total of 242 and going up against the worst defense in the league, I definitely like the value we’re getting. Obviously you’re going to want to try to stack as many of the studs on both sides of this game that you can but Jordan is a nice way to get different and still have a piece of this high-scoring affair.

Fade | Richaun Holmes $5,600 SAC @ BKN

Sorry I couldn’t give you some hot take for a fade at center but it was honestly hard to pick one based off first look tonight. I decided to go with Holmes because I know regardless of his ownership I’ll be coming in under the field. He’s coming off a knee injury and so far has been on a minutes limit. It’s possible the Kings give him his full allotment of minutes tomorrow based off some reports I have read but I still think they will continue to ease him back with the good play they have received from Bagley and others during his absence.
