DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice 2/25

We’ve got a shorter 6-game slate today that fits right into the sweet-spot that we typically crush. There are a couple clear soft defensive matchups and pace up spots in the schedule tonight that I’m attacking, largely through the front-court. We do have a handful of guys carrying questionable tags so keep up with us on twitter (@fantasynav @goingfor_2) for the latest updates on where value might open up and be sure to check out today’s NBA Spreadsheet with projections. You can find it here.

Guards

Top PlayRussell Westbrook – Washington Wizards PG – $9,500
Why is Russell Westbrook’s price still dropping?? Its down for the 5th game in a row, despite Russ being a tick away from a triple double in 5 straight and averaging over 57 pts/game over that stretch. Tonight he matches up against the 7th most favorable matchup against point guards in a game that sets up to be an absolute track meet. Westbrook has a legitimate shot at being the top scorer on the night while offering a nice discount compared to the other top-tier players.

Mid-tierLonzo Ball – New Orleans Pelicans PG – $6,300
I love where Lonzo Ball fits into the build tonight. His price point has settled into this mid $6k range over the past couple of games but his production on the court has been improving game over game. What I like most about this play is just how consistent his opportunity has been. He’s been north of 30 minutes in 10 of his last 11 games and has seen his shooting and peripheral stats improve lately. Lonzo flashed 55 point upside a couple games ago and that is absolutely in play in the highest game total on the slate tonight

Value | Josh Richardson – Dallas Mavericks SG/SF – $4,700
Richardson has been seeing consistent minutes even prior to the injuries to the Dallas front court. He offers a decent secondary scoring option and carries some upside by way of his ability to contribute stocks from time to time. Yes, much of his value will be determined by Porzy’s availability but even with him playing Richardson has been consistent enough and offers some nice salary relief.

Top PlayJulius Randle – New York Knicks PF/C – $9,100
Seeing a theme here?? – attack the easiest matchups and you’ll come away profitable more often than not. The Kings are still the defensive laughing stock of the league and they are particularly favorable to big men. With Mitchell Robinson still on the mend, Randle has been seeing plenty of time at the 5 spot and should easily exploit this matchup. He is all but a lock for a double double tonight and one of the center pieces for my build.

BROOKLYN, NY – FEBRUARY 23: Marvin Bagley III #35 of the Sacramento Kings shoots the ball during the game against the Brooklyn Nets on February 23, 2021 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Mid-tierMarvin Bagley – Sacramento Kings PF/C – $5,700
We’ve really seen the Kings lift Bagley’s minutes restrictions over the past few games and I love the spot he’s in tonight. Hasan Whiteside has already been ruled out so I expect Bagley’s time on the court to increase from the 31 minutes he’s averaged over his last 3 games and removing Whiteside from the court opens up some Center minutes for him, as well as the boards and blocks that come with it.

Value |Will Barton – Denver Nuggets SF – $5,100
Will Barton has really stepped into the breach while Green and Millsap have been out and I expect that to continue tonight. He’s been over over 30 minutes in 8 of his last 10 games and has been busy enough with defensive stats that he offers one of the safer floors out there tonight. If he can get his shooting percentage back around 50% again, he’ll flirt with 7x + multiple and I expect his ownership to be fairly low tonight. Fire him up!

Centers

Top PlayNikola Jokic – Denver Nuggets C – $10,400
This dude is a triple double machine and I’m at a complete lost as to why his price isn’t up to the $11k range. He’s squaring off against a Wizards team that currently ranks 27th in defensive efficiency and the 2nd most favorable matchup to Centers on DK. The absence of Paul Millsap and JaMychal Green means that he’ll have almost all of the defensive stats to himself and is enough to make him a slate breaker tonight against the wiz.

Mid-tierNikola Vucec – Orlando Magic C – $10,000
Is $10k mid tier…? I guess when looking up at a $10.4k Joker it is. Tonight he’s got 4th most favorable against the center position and this is a spot where Nicola will absolutely abuse DeAndre Jordan and could easily pull down board in the mid to high teens. I’m definitely going multi-Center tonight!

NEW ORLEANS, LA – FEBRUARY 17: Steven Adams #12 of the New Orleans Pelicans shoots the ball during the game against the Portland Trail Blazers on February 17, 2021 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Value |Steven Adams – New Orleans Pelicans C – $5,100
My guy Steven Adams is simply till too cheap at $5.1k. He returned to the court last night and right away put up and impressive 44.25 pt double double. We do have to keep an eye out for him to rest on the back to back but if he’s a go again tonight, I think he’s an absolute lock to hit value.
