Guards

Top Play | Bradley Beal $9,700 MEM @ WAS

Can you really go wrong with playing Bradley Beal? The man has been a beast all year and is currently the second leading scorer in the NBA. Hes averaging 1.4 fantasy points per minute while almost putting up 50 DK points a game (49.7). With a 237.5 point total tomorrow against the Grizzlies it’s a game i’ll be looking to get multiple pieces from and Bradley Beal ($9,700) will be the focal point of many of those lineups.

Mid-tier | Ja Morant $7,000 MEM @ WAS

This is as low of a salary I can remember paying for Ja and I get it, his play hasn’t been great the last few games or really since coming back from his early season injury with the acception of a big outing here and there. With that being said, I still like his chances to put up big fantasy numbers against a team like the Wizards who are 27th in defensive rating, 29th in points allowed and pretty much at the bottom of the league in all other defensive categories. The Wizards also play at a scorching pace leading the league with 107.4 possessions per game. I think the matchup/gameflow is the perfect recipe for Ja Morant to have a big game and crush that $7,000 price tag.

Value | Monte Morris $4,600 DEN @ MIL

The Nuggets have been without their starting shooting guard Gary Harris (thigh) and they’re now also without back up guards Facundo Campazzo (COVID-19) and R.J. Hampton (Health and Safety Protocols) so Monte Morris ($4,600) should see close to 30 minutes in tomorrow’s game. At just $4,600 and seeing those type of minutes, the opportunity will definitely be there for Monte to put up a good enough game to end up in the optimal. On a side note, the Nuggets did also just get PJ Dozier ($3,200) back so he should see some minutes as well with the injuries to their guards.

Fade | Dejounte Murray $7,800 NY @ SA

Let me clarify what a “fade” means to me because to some people it means a player they won’t be playing at all, to me if I say i’m fading a player than i’m just playing less than the field on that specific night. So tomorrow that player will be Dejounte Murray ($7,800) for a few reasons. For starters, he’s been playing out of his mind lately and that type of production isn’t sustainable so he’s gotta come back down to earth at some point. Secondly, he’s in a price range where I would rather pay down for players like Chris Paul ($7,500) and Ja Morant ($7,000) or pay up for players like Devin Booker ($8,100) and Khris Middleton ($8,300). Finally, DeMar DeRozan ($8,100) is back on the floor after dealing with the death of his Father so he’s naturally going to eat in to Murray’s production. To top it off he’s going up against the New York Knicks who are the slowest paced team in the NBA so he’s bound to lose a few touches.

  2. Khris Middleton $8,300 DEN @ MIL
  3. Chris Paul $7,500 PHO @ LAL

Forwards

Top Play | Giannis Antetokounmpo $11,000 DEN @ MIL

Man once again i’m writing Giannis up as my top play but honestly, how do you get away from this guy? He’s been absolutely crushing it, putting up over 60 or more DK points in 9 of his last 10 games! In 5 of those games he went for over 70 DK points. The dude is a straight “FREAK” (see what I did there?) and completely matchup proof. I’ll be finding away to plug Giannis in to a lot of my lineups and you should too.

Mid-tier | Brandon Clarke $4,900 MEM @ WAS

I don’t like much in the mid-tier so far off first look so I decided to write up a contrarian play for you guys. Now I like this play a lot more if Kyle Anderson ($6,400) who is questionable with an illness sits tomorrow but either way he could be worth a look. Earlier in the year Clarke was a major part of the Grizzlies rotation and he just put up a double-double last game in only 21 minutes so he may be getting back to form and given the opportunity we could see him take full advantage of it while carrying a cheap price tag. Pay attention to the Anderson news and Clarke’s ownership, they both will play a big role in whether or not you should take a flier on him.

Value | Markieff Morris $3,400 PHO @ LAL

There isn’t much value I like so far at forward and trust me this isn’t value i’ll be looking to get into my lineups either but he’s seeing 20 plus minutes a game with Anthony Davis (calf/achilles) continuing to miss time so if you like your lineup and only have $3,400 left Morris could be a decent final piece.

Fade | John Collins $6,800 ATL @ MIA

Collins is coming off a huge game where he put up 34 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocks in 37 mins which resulted in 58.0 DK points. Hopefully recency bias gets some people to chasing another performance from him like that but I’ll be coming in way under the field tomorrow.

Others I Like

  1. Jimmy Butler $9,200 (Questionable) ATL @ MIA
  2. Davis Bertans $4,700 MEM @ WAS
  3. Justise Winslow $3,900 MEM @ WAS

Centers

Top Play | Julius Randle $9,300 NY @ SA

As im writing this Nikola Jokic ($10,800) just finished with 77 DK points and obviously is going to be a great play again tomorrow night but he’s like Giannis, you’re going to play him on pretty much all slates and even if you didn’t i’m sure you considered it. So yeah, I decided I would give you the next center on the slate I really like…Julius Randle ($9,300). Believe it or not the New York Knicks have just won 4 of their last 5 games and Randle has been leading the way during their win streak and all year long for that matter. He’s averaging 46.7 fantasy points per game and 1.3 points per minute. His home/road splits are pretty much identical and although the Knicks are the slowest pace team in the league the Spurs come in at 12th so Randle will see a slight uptick in pace which could help his overall stats tomorrow. Whenever you have Jokic, Giannis and LeBron on the same slate a guy like Julius Randle ($9,300) will get over looked so I like him a lot for anyone playing large field GPP’s tomorrow night.

Mid-tier | Jonas Valanciunas $7,200 MEM @ WAS

I told you I really like this game! J-Val is coming off a straight dud last game, only putting up 12.5 fantasy points but that was due to a blow out that he only played 13 minutes in. Before that outlier of a game he was putting up 40 DK points almost every other night. Now he gets to go up against a Washington Wizards team that is ranked 25th in rebounds allowed, offensive rebounds allowed, defensive rebounds allowed and 28th in field goals made while being 29th in points allowed. Big men feast on Washington and I expect J-Val to continue that narrative.

Value | Serge Ibaka $4,800 LAC @ BOS

There really isn’t any value at center I truly like at this point but if I had to pick a play I think we’re getting decent value on it would be Ibaka because of his price point and guaranteed minutes. He’s coming off smashing his price tag last game where he put up 37.8 DK points and a double-double. At $4,800 even if he doesn’t have that type of outing again he should do just enough that he shouldn’t kill your lineup.

Fade | Clint Capela $8,200 ATL @ MIA

Capela has been playing well lately but i’m going to come in under the field tomorrow due to his matchup against Bam Adebayo ($8,700) and the Miami Heat. While the Heat do give up a good amount of offensive boards they’re 7th overall in defensive rating. Even if Capela manages to have a good game I think Bam and the Heat will do just enough to keep it at just that, a “good” game but not a great game. That won’t be enough for Capela to be needed in the optimal lineup, he will probably be one of my lowest owned players tomorrow and he honestly might be a full fade.
