DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice 3/23/19

Have missed everyone the last few days. My computer decided to give me some problems, and I am just now getting back to full strength. Of note, I put up a 352 the other day in conjunction with my prediction that higher scores would be coming this time of year. Alas, the winner of that particular GPP put up a 406. Anyway, hope you are enjoying March Madness. Have a surprisingly robust Saturday NBA slate, so let’s get going.

Joel Embiid (Philadelphia) $10,700 @ Atlanta

This game could be a bloodbath so this pick is somewhat risky, but should he play, and should it stay close, Joel Embiid aka the Process has about as good a matchup as is possible against the Hawks. The Hawks haven’t figured out how to defend centers, and Embiid is about as good as it gets. He put up 75 fantasy points against the Celtics and should he get the minutes against the Hawks, he should do at least the same in this spot.

Others to consider:

Rudy Gobert $8,100 @ Chicago, Ben Simmons $8,300 @ Atlanta, Donovan Mitchell $8,500 @ Chicago

Wayne Ellington (Detroit) $4,300 @ Portland

The mid range options are not overly good on this particular slate. I think at $4,300, Wayne Ellington is a decent play as he has been in solid form lately putting up 30 plus fantasy points in his last 2 games. The Detroit wing situation is always dicey as they tend to roll out a lot of different guys, so this pick is somewhat risky.

Others to consider:

Bogdan Bogdanovic $4,300 versus Phoenix, Bruno Caboclo $3,800 versus Minnesota, Jimmer Fredette $3,300 @ Sacramento (I have no idea if he will even play, but his return to the NBA is too exciting not to mention!)

Bradley Beal (Washington) $9,300 vs. Miami

I will be the first to tell you, I was completely wrong about James Harden against Memphis and it bite me. This could be a similar situation, but again, we have a great player in a suboptimal matchup. Bradley Beal is only averaging 35.9 fantasy points against the Heat this season and while he should and likely will do better here, there are better/safer options that are more likely to reach value.
