Congratulations! We have made it to the NBA playoffs. Playoff DFS is a different entity, rotations are shorter, and over the course of the series teams become familiar with one another so more lineup tweaking can occur. Projections for Game 1 could be somewhat challenging, let’s try anyway…

Top Plays
Nikola Vucevic (Orlando) $8,500 @ Toronto
I had a hard time coming up with a top play for this slate, because nobody really looks good. I hate that matchup between the Magic and the Raptors on paper, and could see the Raptors sweeping. Someone has to play and score points for Orlando, and Nikola Vucevic is that guy, I think. He put up nearly 51 fantasy points per game during the regular season against the Raptors, and should have a high usage rate in this game.
Others to consider:Â
Joel Embiid $10,000 versus Brooklyn (if he’s healthy he is the best pick on the slate, by far. I am not sure he is going to play in this one though), Steph Curry $8,300 versus L.A. Clippers, DeMarcus Cousins $7,000 versus L.A. Clippers (too cheap here, I think)

Derrick White (San Antonio) $4,900 vs. San Antonio
There is a nice narrative here. Derrick White is a native of the Denver area, and gets to go against the Nuggets. I don’t think he is going to set the world on fire here, but Jamal Murray’s defense at the 1 isn’t great, and White has averaged nearly 26 fantasy points per game against the Nuggets this season.

Nikola Jokic (Denver) $9,000 vs. San Antonio
This pains me, but I really don’t like the Joker at this price or in this game. He has been a little off as of late and is only putting up 40 fantasy points a game this season against the Spurs. Being a Denver native, I really hope I’m wrong here and the Joker has a huge game for the Nuggets.
