DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 11/16/16

Well, it’s official, I’m back ladies and gentlemen! Three nights in a row cashing in all my contests. It feels good to be out of my slump and back on the winning side of things. With that said, tonight’s slate is going to be a bitch — excuse my french. All the studs are on tonight’s slate and they all have great matchups. Picking the right one or two will be key tonight. My “Nothing But Net” plays tonight are kind of pointless. Normally I try to avoid just picking the highest priced player and making him my top play, but tonight, those guy’s are far and away the best play for their positions so I had no choice.

Before we jump into tonight’s slate, I want to point out our newest affiliate FanPicks.com. They are a smaller DFS site, but they have a lot of great features the big boys don’t have. For one, they have college football and college basketball, so for you college sports DFS guys that miss playing it on FanDuel and DraftKings this is a great alternative. They also have cross-sport games. If you love the NBA and NFL, you can play a DFS contest that has both! Be sure to check them out by clicking the banner in the sidebar or click here. If you register today, use the PROMO code you see on the main page and you get entered into a free contest.

Now on to tonight’s slate…

NBA DFS Legend

Nothing But NetMy top plays of the night at his position.
DunkA Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.
Half-Court ShotOtherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player.
Blocked Shot A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.”

**Main Slate

Point Guard

Nothing But Net | Russell Westbrook vs HOU $11,500

I’m not even going to bother explaining my top plays tonight.

Dunk | Jeff Teague vs CLE $6,300

DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 11/16/16I’ll be going to the well once more with Teague. He has played well over his last two games and has been in two of my winning lineups over that time period. At $6,300, his price won’t kill you on a night full of studs and he gets Kyrie Irving, who is not a great defender and on the second half of a back to back.

Half-Court Shot | Ish Smith @ NY $5,300

I haven’t played Smith all season because I thought his price was too high for his level of production. Well, that has changed over his last few games as he put up at least 25 Fanduel points in three of his last four contests. The Knicks’ Derrick Rose is not a great defender and they too will be on the second half of a back to back.

Blocked Shot | Stephen Curry $9,000

Too expensive for a guy that could take a backseat to Durant on any given night.

Shooting Guard

Nothing But Net | James Harden @ OKC $11,500

Dunk | Avery Bradley vs DAL $7,000

Mr. reliable. Plug him in and he’ll get you 30-plus every night.

Half-Court Shot | Kentavious Caldwell-Pope @ NY $4,800

There wasn’t a ton that I loved in the bottom half of the shooting guard spot, but KCP will get plenty of minutes and sometimes volume is enough for him to reach value.

Blocked Shot | DeMar DeRozan $9,200 vs GS $9,200

He has to fall back to earth eventually so why not on the second half of a back to back against a good defender in Klay Thompson?

Small Forward

Nothing But Net | Kevin Durant @ TOR $9,600

I told you I picked all the top guys…

Dunk | Harrison Barnes @ BOS $6,000

DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 11/16/16I don’t expect Dirk Nowitzki to be active for this game as he is still dealing with Achilles soreness, so look for Barnes to carry the load yet again. The Celtics frontcourt is terrible defensively and should yield plenty of points to the former Warrior turned Maverick.

Half-Court Shot | C.J. Miles $4,600

Let me take you behind the scenes a little. Whenever I start writing a new post, I have a pre-loaded template that automatically puts all the titles and subtitles in so I don’t have to write it every time. Why am I telling you this? Because I may have to add C.J. Miles’ name to that template. I put him here damn near every night.

Blocked Shot | LeBron James @ IND $9,900

He may get a rest day as this is the second half of a back to back, but at minimum might have tired legs after how hard he played last night.

Power Forward

Nothing But Net | Anthony Davis @ ORL $11,400

Move along, nothing to see here…

Dunk | Tobias Harris @NY $6,000

Harris is the small forward version of Avery Bradley. Plug him in and mark him down for 30 FanDuel points. He had a bit of a rough patch last week, but he is back to his usual self now.

Half-Court Shot | Jared Dudley @ DEN $4,000

Seemingly from out of nowhere Dudley has earned himself some minutes in Denver and is producing way above his salary. He has three straight games with at least 28 minutes and has scored no fewer than 26 Fanduel points in those games.

Blocked Shot | Kevin Love @ IND $7,500

There wasn’t a lot I liked at the Power Forward position and I could have put any of the top guys in this spot.

Center

Nothing But Net | DeMarcus Cousins $9,600

Dunk | Marcin Gortat @PHI $6,400

DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 11/16/16Gortat has quietly become a force to reckon within DFS. In five of his last eight games he has gone for a double-double, and in all but one did he have less than 30 minutes and is averaging a little over 30 FanDuel points in those games. He gets a great matchup with what should be a Sixers team without Joel Embiid.

Half-Court Shot | Tristan Thompson @IND $4,600

If you are not paying up for Cousins, chances are you paying way down and Thompson represents the best bang for your buck. He’ll allow you to roster some of the aforementioned studs, his price won’t kill you, and he has some decent upside at $4,600.

Blocked Shot | Marc Gasol @ LAC $6,900

I almost never play Gasol. I’m not sure if that’s reason enough to fade him, but it’s my column, I do what I want. LOL.
