DFS: NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 2/5/16

What is going on everyone! It feels good to sit down and write some NBA DFS advice for once. In case you haven’t noticed, we have been going through a lot of changes here at GoingFor2! In case you missed it, we now have a podcast that I will be doing, on average, three times a week. We are being sponsored by NoHalftime, a great iPhone (Andriod coming soon) app in which you can create player vs player challenges and win real money. Get more details here.

We also just became affiliated with dailyfantasynerd.com, the best DFS lineup optimizer out there. You can read more about it here. Take my word, it has a great track record and I use it daily to help me build my lineups.

And finally, I’m working with another company that I can’t name yet, but it’ll be exciting news for you Esports guys. I’ll have more information on that soon enough.

But let’s get to why you here…

Point Guard

Emmanuel Mudiay, Nuggets $5,200

nba fanduel lineup 2/5/16In all honesty, I don’t like any of the sub 6K guys on today’s slate, but if you held me down and made me pick one, it would be Mudiay. Now, that’s a ringing endorsement I know, so I guess what I’m saying is, “Pay Up”.

Shooting Guard

Marco Belinelli, Kings $4,000

I’m not sure if Ben McLemore came off the bench in the last game because they were being cautious, or if this is a permanent change. Knowing George Karl we won’t know until this game tips off, but Belinelli has logged 36 minutes in each of the last two games and scored 18 real life points in both. McLemore has scored over 18 points just once in his last 10 games. There might be a “changing of the guard”, pun intended, in Sacramento.

Tony Allen, Grizzlies $4,500

nba fanduel lineup 2/5/16He was a popular value pick the other night, and boy did he disappoint. The positive from that game for him was he still logged 32 minutes. I’m expecting him to bounce back versus a weak New York Knicks team on the second game of a back to back. If you saw that furious comeback last night for the Knicks against the Pistons, even though they ended up losing, they expended a lot of energy. I expect the Knicks to have dead legs and Tony Allen will capitalize.

Small Forward

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Hornets $5,800

Coming in just under my value line ($6,000), MKG has been a pleasant surprise in the last three games after not playing the entire season until now. The Heat represent a tough matchup for him, but at $5,800, with the way he has been playing and the minutes he is getting, fire him up.

Jeff Green, Grizzlies $5,700

Has Green finally found his place on this team? Will he finally become the offensive force that the Grizzlies were hoping for when they traded for him? ….No, probably not. But he will be playing a tired Knicks team coming off a tough game last night that featured a huge comeback, only to fall short. By the time this game tips off, Green will have had four days rest. Please, and thank you.

Power Forward

Myles Turner, Pacers $5,600

nba fanduel lineup 2/5/16Well, Gerson’s boy (podcast reference, be sure to check us out) finally had a dud game. But smart DFS players know this is the time to play him. Everyone was burned by him the other night, no one will be on him, he is still $5,800, and he will get a ton of minutes. It is a tough matchup with Paul Millsap and the Hawks, but he can still reach value easily.

Taj Gibson, Bulls $5,300

He doesn’t have the ridiculous upside that you would like to have in a value play, but something can be said for consistency. He will get 30-plus minutes and give you between 25-30 fanduel points. At $5,300, you will take that.

Center

Jordan Hill, Pacers $4,600

Hill falls into the same category as his teammate Myles Turner. He was a popular value play the other night, he burned you if you played him, but I like him tonight. Forgive and forget. We all used Hill the other night, and rostering him was the equivalent of throwing a pick six, now we have to go back on the field and forget what just happened.
