DFS NFL FanDuel GPP Plays Week 10 (11/13/16)

Welcome to the Week 10 edition of the NFL DFS FanDuel GPP plays. This article will focus on the main slate on FanDuel, which features 12 games this week. Just as a reminder, this article is not meant to be an actual FanDuel GPP lineup, but rather an article focusing on some good stand alone options for your GPP lineup. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my favorite GPP options for Week 10.

NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Plays for Week 10

DailyFantasyNerd FanDuel GPP Play of the Day

Brandin Cooks (NO) vs. DEN $7,300
Brandin Cooks is a great GPP option this week against the Broncos, since a lot of people will be scared of the matchup. Aqib Talib has already been ruled out and Chris Harris normally lines up against the slot receiver, so Cooks should have an outstanding individual matchup for most of the day. The Saints almost always perform great at home, so Cooks could potentially be a huge difference maker for GPPs this week.

Quarterbacks

Drew Brees (NO) vs. DEN $8,200
Drew Brees was great again last week at San Francisco against the 49ers. I’m guessing a lot of people will be hesitant to use him this week since on paper it looks like he has an extremely tough matchup against the Broncos. However, I already mentioned that Talib is going to be out again this week and Brees has always been great at home during his career. Brees has just as much upside as any other quarterback on the slate.

Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) vs. DAL $7,700
Looking at the box score it did not look like Ben Roethlisberger did too bad in Week 9. However, most of his points came in garbage time in the second half. He should be able to do much better this week against the Cowboys, who are only middle of the pack against the pass. Also, historically Big Ben has performed much better at home than he has on the road.

Running Backs

Jay Ajayi (MIA) @ SD $7,800
Jay Ajayi has quietly established himself as a top running back for the rest of the season, gaining 553 yards over the past three weeks (data from DraftSnap daily fantasy optimizer) and scoring four touchdowns. This week he has an outstanding matchup against the Chargers, who have allowed the fifth-most FanDuel points to running backs this season. Also, with David Johnson and Ezekiel Elliott both in favorable matchups this week, Ajayi could very well fly under the radar this week in GPP contests.

Le’Veon Bell (PIT) vs. DAL $8,100
I imagine that Le’Veon Bell will be overshadowed by Ezekiel Elliott in this matchup and thus will be way under owned in GPPs. Even though Bell has yet to find the end zone this season, he is still an elite running back, totalling at least 100 yards in every game except for one. I’m not saying it is going to happen, but he does happen to outscore Elliott, you will be way ahead of the pack in GPPs this week.

Wide Receivers

Julio Jones (ATL) @ PHI  $8,800
Mike Evans and Antonio Brown are going to be the chalk wide receivers this week, which means that Julio Jones is going to be lower owned. Sure he has a difficult matchup against the Eagles, but he is an elite receiver and has shown many times that he should not be discounted, even in tough matchups (see Week 6 stats at Seattle).

Jordy Nelson (GB) @ GB $7,700
Another wide receiver that will likely be lower owned this week is Jordy Nelson. Nelson has had 94 receiving yards and a touchdown in each of the past two games. Since their running game is still a mess, Aaron Rodgers will have to continue to chuck the ball around 40 times, even if they have the lead, which bodes well for his favorite target.

Rishard Matthews (TEN) vs. GB $5,800
A sneaky punt options for GPPs this week is Rishard Matthews. Outside of Delanie Walker, Matthews has been Marcus Mariota’s favorite target during Mariota’s hot streak over the past few weeks. Matthews has had a total of five touchdowns over the past five weeks (data from DraftSnap daily fantasy optimizer) and is in a good spot to get another one this week against the Packers, who are not great against the pass this season.

Tight Ends

Cameron Brate (TB) vs. CHI $5,800
With many people likely using Mike Evans in their lineups this weekend, Cameron Brate could be a sneaky GPP option at the tight end position. Jameis Winston has looked at Brate more often in the red zone lately as seen by his touchdowns in each in of the last two games.

Defense

Vikings (MIN) vs. DET $5,300
The Vikings’ defense has had a couple of bad games in a row now, but I am not ready to give up on them. They still have scored the most FanDuel points for defenses this season so they are definitely more than capable of putting up a decent amount of points each and every week. The Redskins have been decent on offense this season, but they are far from an elite offense and should not be a team who we automatically avoid.
