Going forward I will not be giving my full-blown write-up each week for the NFL. The other NFL DFS writers will continue to put out quality content, but due to the daily nature of the NBA, doing a full blown article will be very difficult. I’ll continue to put out my NFL article, but I will not do a write-up on every player I feature. So let’s get to it…

Quarterbacks
Explosive Play | Drew Brees @ SEA $8,000
The Seahawks have been ranked fairly high against the pass on the season, but those numbers are a little skewed. Look at the first four QBs they face this year; Ryan Tannehill, Case Keenum, Blaine Gabbert, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. That’s not exactly the cream of the crop. Over the last two weeks, they faced Matt Ryan and Carson Palmer, and in those two games they gave up 335 and 342 yards passing to those QBs respectively. In Brees’ three home games this year he has averaged 421 yards passing and has 11 TD passes. To put that into perspective, the 11 TDs would rank him 10th in the league for the year — in just three games!

Two top plays this week. Michael and Ware have great matchups and their teams are both run-first teams. Â Â b
Deep Threat | Devonta Freeman vs GB $6,900
Tevin Coleman is going to miss this game, and that means Freeman will see the majority of the workload in this one. The Packers run defense is not as good as they appear on paper, and even if they were, Freeman will get plenty of touches in the passing game too. This game could easily become a shootout.
Hail Mary | TY Montgomery @ ATL $6,400
Missed Tackle | CJ Anderson vs SD $6,700Â
There isn’t a top-tier RB that I can put in my missed tackle section this week now that Anderson has been ruled out.

Wide Receivers
Explosive Play | Julio Jones vs GB $9,200
Deep Threat | Mike Evans vs OAK $7,900
Hail Mary | Michael Thomas vs SEA $5,700
I mentioned above how porous the Seahawks pass defense has been over the last two weeks, and the place they struggle with the most is the slot receiver. All three of the Saints WRs will play in the slot, but Thomas plays the most snaps from here. He had a huge game last week despite not finding the end zone. Brees trusts him and that’s all you need to be fantasy relevant.

Tight Ends
Explosive Play | Jimmy Graham @ NO $6,700
Graham returns to the place that made him a star and he gets to matchup against this terrible defense. What more could you want?

Hail Mary | Gary Barnidge vs NYJ $5,000
Missed Tackle | Greg Olsen vs ARI $7,400

Defense
Explosive Play | Jets @ CLE $4,700
Deep Threat | Texans vs DET $4,300
This is a classic strength against strength. The Texans’ defense is weak against the run but strong against the pass, and the Lions can’t run and love to pass. I give the advantage to the Texans defense.

Missed Tackle | Cowboys vs PHI $4,600
